In particular I'm looking for (magical) animal type creature like Displacer Beasts rather than super intelligent/aberrant type creatures like Mind Flayers or Beholders. |

Check the SRD Information Legal.RTF document. It includes the copy of the OGL with PI declaration. Even though it is not declared PI, if it is not declared OGC, it falls under the application of the standard copyright law. |
