I'm curious, where in the forgotten realms (other than in Chult) are there Crocodiles?

Now, off the top of my head...

There are crocodiles in the sewers of Tilverton.

The Fenghsintzu River in T'u Lung is said to be 'infested' with crocodiles.

You'll find crocodiles in the Swamp of Akhlaur located in Halruaa.

I don't see why crocodiles wouldn't live the the flooded forest, it seems to be a ideal enviro for them. The flooded forest is located between the moonsea and the dragon reach.

Anywhere there's werecrocodiles, I'd hazard.

The River Of Swords in Mulhorand would have some crocodiles. The werecrocs were cleared out two centuries ago, but I guess they could come creeping back there.

Those werecrocs moved to the Adder Swamp in Chessenta. Crocodiles should be there also.

Also in The Vast Swamp, maybe Dire or Half Fiend crocs.

Any oasis in Calimshan

Southern Turmish near the Vilhon Reach you might find Saltwater crocodiles.

And then any of the Moonshaes.

Actually it would be cool to see a Crocodile of Legend in the Waterdeep sewers, a one shot adventure hook even.

To quote the late great Steve Irwin, "Crikey means gee whiz, wow!"

Oh yeah and I noticed your sig has alot of Dinosaurs... Rumor has it that some crocodile-like dinosaurs once inhabited the Arctic.

I doubt there are any crocodiles in the Flooded Forest. That far north, those swamps are frozen a few months every year, making it impossible for crocodiles or alligators to be able to survive. As for the Moonshaes, they're in the middle of the sea. There might be some sea crocodiles there but, once again, it seems too far north, and those would be better suited for Osse, wherever that is.

However, there should be crocodiles in most large Rivers or Mulhorand, Unther, and Chessenta. There might also be some in the southwesternmost partof the Vilhon Reach, which is filled with freshwater, as well as in the Rivers of Sespech.

As for Chult, it already has dinosaurs. What would it need crocs for?

I have to disagree on that point becasue the Moonshaes are in the same longitude as Turmish and the Vilhon Reach. That said you can have Saltwater Crocs there as well, at least within the marshy areas. Not to mention it is near the distance from St. Louis to Alabama/Florida as Waterdeep is to the Moonshaes.

Mind you it could be upto the DM/Writer. I do not have my encounter tables that came with the Forgotten Realms DM Screen at hand but I believe they would still fall under the proper climate.

I think Crocodiles should be in temples of Sebek in Mulhorand. :)

-Being as that he is the patron of Werecrocodiles, it would make sense. ;)

They are regular animals and dont see why they wouldnt be in similar environs to the ones they exist in in our world.

I'd say that there'd be crocs in pretty much any marsh or swamp south of the Sea of Fallen Stars, along with any rivers/river delta areas and lakes nearby. The more tropical, the better/more likelihood that you'd find them.

As for killer croc attacks, one of my players was once almost killed/eaten by a giant croc in the Wet river between Assam and The Wetwoods in Turmish. It was so funny/memorable that my girlfriend drew a sketch of her character rescuing him in her sketchbook, and we laugh about it to this day. Well, he gives me a dirty look and shakes his fist, saying that he "can't believe that [I] would have a giant croc try to eat [him]."

I would say salt water crocs in the Nelanther isles too...and maybe Lantan, but they would have killed them all.

Mulhorand is Egypt so definitely there. The swamps of Orbrekh. Swamps in the Calimshan area and a bit north. Chult and the Black Jungles, which are just lousy with them. Chessenta has them too and even Werecrocodiles.
