deep imaskari confusion [Archive] - Wizards Community

09-30-07, 12:41 PM At one point in Underdark it says Deep Imaskari get +2 Int, -2 Str. Then in the race description it says +2 Int, -2 dex. Which is the official one?

Their city was destroyed (so soon after being featured in Underdark, too).

However, I would personally do the -2 Str, it makes more sense. A race forced to live in a confined subterranean space would not become less dextrous, IMHO.

There may be a more official answer, though. ;)

You know what's even MORE interesting? The possible alliance of Tu' Lung with Mulhorand mentioned in the GHotR. Given Shou's early connections to Imaskar, things are loooking pretty explosive in the east. :devil:

09-30-07, 08:05 PM I don't know where it says they take a hit to strength, but the dexterity penalty should be accurate. The actual racial stats given in the race entry are the primary source, which according to the general Errata, is accurate.

10-01-07, 07:27 AM there is a list of all Underdark races at the beginning of the races section. it includes ability adjustments and favored classes. thats where it say -2 str

10-10-07, 01:20 AM I'd give them the Dex penalty. As others have said, the text overrides a lone table entry. Besides, an Int bonus coupled with a Str penalty just screams "wizard minmaxming".
