Divine Disciple question [Archive] - Wizards Community

03-26-07, 11:41 PM Bit of a n00bish question, but any help would be appreciated:

According to the prerequisites for the PrC, one must be able to cast 4th level divine spells (and have a certain amount of ranks in a couple skill,s which I do or will in the next level)

My question is this: Does this mean that the cleric I play can start that PrC at level 7 when he first gains access to those 4th level spells, or would I wait until 8th?

03-27-07, 01:32 AM You have to first meet the prerequisites for a prestige class before you can take any levels in it. Since you can't cast 4th level spells as a 6th level cleric you do not qualify and thus cannot take the PrC until you can. So therefore, you can take the first level of the PrC once you can cast 4th level spells, ie once you've reached cleric level 7. Your 8th level can then be Divine Disciple since you would then meet all the prerequisites.

Wasn't sure if I could take it at 7th level or whether I had to wait until the level afterward. Thanks for clearing that up.
