Dragon Disciple for Psionic classes? [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-22-07, 05:37 PM Is there any PrC out there that does for a Psionic class what DD does for sorc/bard/assassin? IE PrC that eventually grants half-dragon template? Thanks!

10-22-07, 06:04 PM Not really. The only dragon-related psionic class I know of is the Diamond Dragon in Dragon Magic.

11-05-07, 02:26 PM you could adapt it rather easily by making the requirements be Know(psionics) 8 ranks, ability to manifest 1st level powers, and speak draconic. everything else stays the same, you just have to turn into a gem dragon. I would consult the Draconomicon for variations on the half-dragon template.

11-11-07, 09:24 PM There is the ruby disciple prc (http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/psm/20030124c). It is 3.0, but you can probably adapt it to 3.5 with minimal hassle.:)

Seriously, the dragon disciple is beginning to pale in comparison to this...its only advantage is that you need minimal casting to enter, but then, clerics get divine power...:(

The "as if they had advanced a level of psion" thing bugs me. For psychic warriors or ardents, does it mean that they get the extra PPs and can select powers if they were psions of level equal to their RD level? This is great for psions, but psywars and ardents get few PPs and low-level powers.

11-12-07, 11:24 PM I think that was a misprint considering that the table shows "+1 manifester level" and the type of breath weapon is based upon what 3.0 class you had. For the EPH etc. classes, just choose something relatively close. ex. for ardent, use the cleric/seerer entry for breath weapon or something closer to one of the ardent "domains."
