| The Ranger05-09-07, 09:54 PM | Why is it that despite Drow having hand crossbow as a racial weapon I keep seeing exotic weapon proficiency -- hand crossbow pop up as a feat in Drow character write-ups and requirements for PrCs? Is this by design or mistake? |
| Another Gnome05-10-07, 02:28 AM | Including the proficiency as a feat for drow character writeups is most likely a mistake, but as a PrC requirement keep in mind that half-drow also qualify for drow-only prestige classes (unless the class specifically says otherwise). |
| Zanan05-10-07, 04:21 AM | Haven't come across that as yet (or ignored it), but try and calculate the number of feats that drow should get and if it is given as a bonus feat, no problem. Do note though that drow priestesses need an exotic weapon proficiency feat to use either scourge or whip properly. |
| Lord Karsus05-10-07, 09:24 AM | -Isn't this one of those things that 3.5e was supposed to fix? Not this case specifically, but racial-societal-stat problems like this. |
| Stigger05-10-07, 09:59 AM | Think it was, though largely it hasn't really. Personally, I just hand out that racial weapon familiarity thingy feat out for free if it makes sense, rather than having the player waste a feat for something they should already have. |
