Drow Racial Spell-like Abilities [Archive] - Wizards Community

10-03-07, 11:36 AM Hello all! Do the spell-like abilities gained by the Underdark feat "Highborn Drow" count as racial spell-like abilities? If so they could be used multiple times per day with the Player's Guide to Faerun feat "Magic in the Blood"? That would fit with the novels being able to levitate multiple times/day.

Well, going by old lore, yes. By new lore its just a "maybe". The only thing the R(ules) A(s) W(ritten) people might argue with is that the feat does not specifically name the three spells as "racial SLA", but simply "SLA".

I'd use them as racial SLA and those gained by Lolth's Blessing as normal SLA, granted by the Spider Queen. This would follow the description in AD&D lore, as described in the appendix of Demihuman Deities.

Do note that most novels about Drizzt and his kin dating back from AD&D (and RAS likes to ignore more up to date rules on the drow), where levitation and somesuch was not gained by feats et al, but the stage of maturity of a drow. All described in the book named above.
