| theEaterOfShades02-23-07, 05:05 PM | Hello all, I am converting over a spec priest of Mask from 2nd ed to 3.5 as we resume an OLD campaign. Any ideas on how to approach this as a 6th level char? Thanks! |
| Zanan02-24-07, 10:15 AM | There is the Telflammar Shadowlord, who is a sort-of specialty priest of Mask (Unapproachable East), even though the spell progression lags. Alternatively, you could also adopt the Temple Raiders of Olidamara (Complete Divine / Song & Silence), or look at my attempt of converting the Faiths & Avatars' Demarchs over at the DnD-Gate (http://www.dnd-gate.de/gate3/page/index.php?id=93). There are various other PrC around as well though. |
| Mad Mage02-26-07, 12:10 AM | Here's a homebrew PrC I did for the Demarch last year. I hope you like it. Demarch of Mask (10-level Prestige Class) Hit Die: d6 Requirements Skills: Hide or Move Silently 5 ranks, Sleight of Hand 5 ranks Feats: Deft Hands, Stealthy Spellcasting: Must be able to cast 3rd-level Cleric spells. Also must have access to the Trickery Cleric Domain. Patron: Mask Special: Must have stolen an item worth at least 500 gold. Class Skills: Bluff (Cha), Concentration (Con), Heal (Wis), Hide (Dex), Knowledge (Any) (Int), Move Silently (Dex), Sense Motive (Wis), Sleight of Hand (Dex), Spellcraft (Int). Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier. Base Attack Bonus Progression: As cleric. Saving Throw Progression: As cleric. Spellcasting bonus: +1 to Spellcasting Class each level (except at 2nd, 4th, and 6th levels). Class Features - Weapon and Armor Proficiency: A Demarch gains no weapon or armor proficiencies. - Spells per Day/Spells Known: At each Demarch level, the character gains news spells per day (and spells known, if applicable) as if they had also gained a level in a spellcasting class to which he belonged before adding the prestige class level. They do not, however, gain any other benefit a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of turning/destroying undead, metamagic/item creation feats, and so on). If the character had more than one spellcasting class before becoming a Demarch, the player must decide to which class to add each Demarch level for the purpose of determining spells per day and spells known. - Darkness (Sp): At first level, a Demarch can cast Darkness (as per the Cleric spell) as a spell-like ability - Sneak Attack (SA): At second level, a Demarch gains a +1d6 sneak attack - Sneak Attack (SA): At fourth level, a Demarch's sneak attack improves to +2d6 - Dark Way (Sp): At fifth level, a Demarch can cast Dark Way (Magic of Faerun) as a spell-like ability - Sneak Attack (SA): At sixth level, a Demarch's sneak attack improves to +3d6 - Shadow Walk (Sp): At ninth level, a Demarch can cast Shadow Walk (as per the 5th-level wizard spell) as a spell-like ability - Special Ability: At tenth level, a Demarch gains the ability to a Special Ability that a rogue would get at tenth level Works Cited: Faiths & Avatars (2nd Edition Forgotten Realms), 3.5 Edition Player's Handbook, Magic of Faerun (3rd Edition Forgotten Realms |
