I just checked the Extaminaar race from Champions of Ruin and discovered that the racial features description lacks type and subtype. (It's the same with Daergloth and Krinth.)

I guess that it should be Humanoid (Serpentfolk).

Is there some kind of monster statblock for these races to be found anywhere, or are we left in the dark?

Although this is not going to help, I think that if none is stated, then you should suppose that type is 'humanoid ([name race])'. But the draegloth is, of course, a native outsider, so you should probably forget all what I've said.

BTW, my suggestions are 'humanoid (reptilian)' for the extaminaar, and 'outsider (native)' for both the draegloth and krinth.

Well, the Draegloth is not a big problem. It's been updated in the PGtF web enhancement, I think.

I agree with Krinth being native outsiders.

Extaminaar should be Humanoid (Serpentfolk), as per the sidebar in Serpent Kingdomsl.

You're right with the sidebar in Serpent Kingdoms, and of course extaminaar should be included in that list, but note that there's no creature with a 'serpentfolk' subtype. This term is used by that book because there's no term in their statistics that links all these creatures together. It's just a matter of formality, so I stack with 'Humanoid (Reptilian)'.

The same is true for the 'Spiderkind' term cited in City of the Spider Queen.

Hmm, that's odd, since some feats in SK have Serpentfolk as prerequisite. Why just have a purely fluff descriptor, when it has effect on game mechanics?

They could have made a racial trait called "Serpent Blood" similar to "Elf Blood" or "Giant Blood" found in some races (although the "Elf Blood" from the half-elf is simply the elf subtype, not as the "Giant Blood" of the feral gargun, since that is a Monstrous Humanoid)

Yes, that would have been a bit clearer.

Chapter 6 of Champions of Ruin provides a statistic block for a character of each of the new races. Draegloth are outsiders (native), krinth are humanoids (krinth) and extaminaars are humanoids (extaminaar). I agree that extaminaar should be classified as Scaled Ones (serpentfolk), but unless they release an update to [/i]Serpent Kingdoms[/i] I doubt it will happen…

They would also fit with Yuan-Ti Blood or Human Blood special qualities, because those are there parent races.

On another topic, where does it actually say that a humanoids subtype is the same as its name, unless sit has another subtype (like reptilian, goblinoid or dragonblooded)?

I looked for a chapter on monster's in the book, but obviously skipped the part on NPCs. Thank you, Senka.
