| Serik_Swift03-17-07, 02:15 AM | just a curiosity, but what your favorite powerhouse you've constructed. Mine is a level 17 Wild Elf, Werewolf, Ranger. |
| Max the Immortal03-17-07, 04:00 AM | Bryaxis, a male drow gestalt with a mix of a whole bunch of classes, most notably Wizard, Incantatrix, Swashbuckler, Survivor, and Swordsage. He's a top-notch spellcaster (and an expert at counterspelling), a competent swordsman (wielding an elven courtblade), extremely graceful (and stealthy), and more durable than a monk. I'll take him from level one to twenty+ when I get the chance. |
| Goldenmaxter03-25-07, 11:53 AM | I just started a wild elf Cleric of Gond who is also a half-celestial. He's a great combonation of powerful attacks and helpful magic. The domains are fire and metal.:P |
| Togashi_Kuroto03-26-07, 07:45 AM | Mine is a Half-Celestial, Half-Gold Dragon that I am currently playing. I have 1 level as a Celestial Outsider, 1 as a Gold Dragon, and 2 as a Chaotic Monk. |
| Karsus the Mad03-26-07, 07:50 AM | Within the Realms? Azrźal of Lantan, the "Clockwork Wizard", a Wizard 7/ Techsmith 10/ Lantanese artificer 11. I also had a version of Ioulaum as a demi-lich wizard 63 but I never used him. Outside the Realms, the Mage-Emperor. His level and classes haven't been nailed down, but they're hovering around 96th, and is a mixture of wizard/sorcerer/ultimate magus/archmage/incantatar/arcane lord. |
| Orog03-26-07, 01:56 PM | Probly my Human fighter 4/monk 4/ Ijutsu master 10, I managed to get lucky on him as well and drew a +5 vorpal Katana from a Deck of many things, was pretty insane. :D |
| admdavid03-26-07, 06:38 PM | My favorite character to date is my 18th lvl Moon Elf Ranger, Ethelorien Lethandorin. He and his cohorts, the Ring of 7, after many harrowing adventures throughout the Realms (the Dalelands in particular) have "retired" and built a castle atop Haptooth Hill after ridding the local area of some nasty beasties. Their eventual goal is to make Haptooth Hill a kind of adventurers home away from home with all manner of shrines to the good/neutral gods and accommodations for adventurers, training facilities, etc. throughout the caverns of the Hill. With there not being an established government for the area, the Ring wish to fill that power void and become a source for good in the region. :D |
| Siridar03-27-07, 07:10 AM | Siridar Waverider Large moon elf/Bronze half dragon. He was large sized had wings and had a breath weapon of a normal dragon with no level adjustment :] was awesome alot of roleplaying was involved and even had the gods involved in his life. he was a fighter/divine champion/holy liberator of corellon and switched to Hlal or Lendy's cant remember at the moment. Weilded a fullblade from sword and fist and had a 30 str at level 15 all natural so damage was 2d8+17 + 2d6 vs evil the sword was +2 and holy |
| ShadezofDis03-27-07, 10:08 AM | Well, my "most powerful" character ever would have to be Sir Terrance Callahan, the second character I ever rolled, he is a Paladin of Tyr and was 29th level at the end of my gaming with him (some of the levels gained were cheese though, from about 10-15th were some of the worst D&D playing I've ever done *g*) He's become a sort of MP for the church of Tyr, travelling from church to church, meeting the clergy and rooting out any injustice within the ranks (while also keeping an eye to the countryside for threats, that's secondary to his "cleansing of Tyr's ranks" though) However, my "most influencial" character would have to be Brona Moonbow, he's a Wood Elf rogue who began as an adventuring rogue and then turned towards intrigue and disguise. Over the course of the past three decades he's created various persona's for himself that he's lived for several years at a time (deep immersion) and has created a trade network that he uses to develope area's he's interested in and to fund various elven orginizations (quietly, through agents) and has some ties with Eldreth Veluuthra. He really views Eldreth Veluuthra as narrow viewed zealots so he hasn't become a solid part of the orginization but he supports them and gives monitary aid and information (though he gives these things to further his own goals). He's most interested in aiding the elven people to reach the glories of thier past but unlike EV he's patient and doesn't want to destroy humans, he just wants to exploit humans to the benifit of the elves. He's a NE character who's view is roughly: "The easiest path to power is upon the back's of your fellows, thus it is best to stand upon strong backs." He's pretty fabulously wealthy (successful adventuring career and sound financial planning have panned out, though the "sound financial planning" took a bit of time to learn) and uses that wealth to his advantage. Currently he's posing as a half-elven Sembian nobleman (minor nobleman, he set up the identity over the course of a couple of years with an impoverished Sembian noble) in the Gildenglade region of Turmish, his goals being tied to increasing elven influence in Turmish (and eventually the surrounding region). There was also a swashbuckler I played for years that came from FR, but he ended up in a planescape campaign :) |
| Tevin Kevlak03-28-07, 01:59 AM | A Dwarf Monk Saint with the Vow of Poverty and the Hammer Fist feat. He was basically untouchable. |
| Sir_Wolfgar03-29-07, 02:09 AM | Valios Aelorthi- a fighter/sorcerer/bladesinger fey'ri So I came up with this character after Races of Faerun came out but before the Lasy Mythal series and the crusade. Valios was a spy sent out by the Fey'ri to learn how the world had changed during their imprisonment and to eventualy report back about Sembia and the Dales. His main disguise was a sun elf noble, but he claimed to have a ring of shapechange to explain his random disguises to his party-mates. He met up with a Avraiel Cleric during the course of his travels, and ended up saving Archendale, twice, as well as aiding Miklos Selkirk track down a few rogue pirates. So, he eventually became CG through the influence of the winged elf cleric, and he revealed his true nature to her. One of my favorite characters, and the only good fey'ri I have ever heard of. Involved in the party of Valios was a Goblin rogue henchman named Foe. It was out first adventure, and Valios and the winged elf came across a party of 5 goblins. We easily dispatched the first 4, but one goblin (#4 on the the DM's sheet) refused to be hit. We kept rolling 2s and 3s untill we eventually just reasoned with him, and thenwe fed, clothed ans washed him, and he just started following us around. For the longest while he could only say two words of common, Foe (his name) and Stop. Trust me, it led to some funny situations. |
| FrostWolf03-29-07, 07:23 AM | Hmm... Thlarook was a human NG Barb/Sor I was working on for a time. Was going to be from a tribe that warshipped both a spider god and a scorpion goddess (as dieties of hunting/crafting/mercy to ones foes, and Home protection/raising young/medicine, respectively). Was well on his way to the tribal weapons of choice, Net (Spider web) and trident (Scorpion's tail/claws) style of fighting, but died on a psychotic halflings crossbow bolt. Best character I ever played. |
| Steel General03-29-07, 10:44 AM | Urvon - A Hobgoblin Crusader (2E) of the RedKnight. Don't play much anymore so I never upgraded hime to 3E |
| SilverFullmoon03-29-07, 11:21 AM | Back in the 2e days, my favorite was Silver Fullmoon (my name sake!) moon elf wizard 40/figther 40/Psion 40. He was WAY over powered, but so much fun. he was N/G and almost 5,000 yrs old, as well as a Chosen of Mystryl. he had been enslaved by a Netherese Arcanist when he was 300. The Arcanist was making an artifact known as a Time Gem, which essentially made the wear immortal by not allowing the time stream to touch him (think of time as a river for this, the gem allowed you move with the water, but the water couldn't touch you). Silver ended up stealing this gem, and killing the Arcanist. He kept the gem and has been hanging out in Faerun all this time. The DM and me ended making him part of all the major historical events: fall of Nethril, ride and fall of Myth Drannor, etc... I updated him for 3e (but not 3.5) and made him a N/G wizard 20/Sorcrer 20/ Psion 20/ Monk 20/Loremasteer 10/Archmage 10. He didn't end up as quite the same character in terms of class, but it fit how I viewed him. For a figther, my favorite was a Minotaur fighter 12/cleric of Tempus 12. Name was Storm, and was C/G. Imagine a big minotaur with a huge axe who was ready to cut you in half with you were acting like a butt. |
| Maquissar03-29-07, 06:58 PM | Ok, I'm not gonna call this a power house character, but it's one I'm looking very, very forward to playing. His name is Marruxiallus "Marrux or Max" Emberfoot He's a Halfling Cleric of Mask with the Dark template added. |
| Lord Karsus03-30-07, 12:38 AM | -One opf my favorite characters is/was Phaerūn, the apprentice to the Court Magician of Castle Blaze (A homebrew setting). -As for the Realms, a settling where I've never actually played D&D in, I'll select Daerian Sunstar, my character who wrote Elves of Faerūn. |
| Mpinkard03-30-07, 12:21 PM | An NPC Gold Dwarf Were-Bear Cleric of Mystra who wields a Maul and goes by the name of Grimhammer. Grimhammer's companion is a Wild Elf Driud/Barbarian/Shifter that goes by the name of Keris and is pretty sure he started out as a Falcon. I have had them do cameos in my campaign for 3 different groups in 4 different time periods, only two out of 7 players know he is a lycanthrope. They just see this strange 6ft tall Gold Dwarf with a maul and a Falcon animal companion. |
| dragonheart03-30-07, 07:55 PM | my favorite ? (also my most powerful) Why me of course :D Actually it is me - I pissedoff a DM back in 1980 and he tried to get even by dumping me as I was then into the game - only to discover I was armed and dangerous with what amounted to training as both a monk and ranger (and a 4"+ bladed pocket knife in my hip pocket as well). Over the last 27 year said character has managed to adventure on about 8 worlds and is now "retired" to Faerun where he controls Teshendale, Zhentil Keep and HIllsfar and tends to stick his nose (or his follower's, friends and hireling adventurer's noses) into almost anything he feels like. WHat is he now? Monk3/Ranger 17/Wizard 17/Archmage3/ DR0 chosen/Divinity in training with Shandukul, Geb and Io. |
| TheRedWizard03-30-07, 09:05 PM | Trannos Elleckold is a human fighter 2/ evoker 5 / eldritch knight 7. Trannos is focused in ice and electric magic. He prefer using magic when he can but he never hesitate when he have to use his sword (after he's cast some magic warding) Masselhoef is a Tiefling Cleric of Bhaal (with the feat servant of the fallen). his levels are cleric of Bhaal 8/ Rogue 5/ Assassin 3. They are in the same adventuring company and they wanders near Sylverymoon as you can see, I love multiclass carachters! |
| Zandilar03-31-07, 12:48 AM | Heya, My favorite would depend on how silly you want... I have a few, I'll show one of my silliest. Erin Silverblade is definitely a one of my favorites. She's the daughter of Tymora and one of the Seven Sisters (Alustriel). (It just happened, 'k? The whys and wherefores are beyond the scope of this post!) Anyway, there are actually two versions of her. One was a figher 5/cleric 5/wizard 5 of Tymora and Mystra, the other was simply a bard of mid level (maybe 8 or 9). My favorite is the latter. :) Erin Silverblade (CG half-elf female Bard 8) travels under an assumed name "Alusair", and currently resides in the city of Waterdeep. This is because she ran away from Silverymoon, where she thought she was being confined/coddled. In true Tymoran fashion, she decided that she had to make a name for herself and to stand on her own two feet without relying on her powerful mother or her deific father(?). Predictably, it didn't take much for Alustriel to track her down, but realised that her daughter had a good point about being her own woman. While Erin remains in Waterdeep, Laeral keeps an eye on her - but would only intervene if it appeared Erin was about to be killed, and even then it might not be direct intervention... She wants to preserve Erin's illusion that she's independant, after all. ;) Erin will probably one day pick up a divine related class, possibly cleric, and may even learn a little sorcery. Erin appears as a half elven female, fairly young, with silvery-white hair and deep dark blue eyes (her pupils are a deep midnight blue almost indistinguishable from black, iris is slightly lighter blue but flecked with silver). She has a pale complexion and blushes easily. She has a crystal clear contralto voice that she uses to great effect in singing, and has skill in the yarting, the harp, and the flute. She prefers to dress in black or dark blue, and white, tending towards leather, silk, and velvet, and wears pants more often than skirts. Her favorite weapon is her rapier (+1 rapier) - though she also has a light crossbow she can use if she needs range. While she does have quite a prestigious and powerful lineage, she doesn't appear to have inherited any extra power besides having better stats than average (at level 1: Str 14, Dex 18, Con 14, Int 16, Wis 14, Cha 18). However, she appears to be incrediably lucky from time to time, but this is totally unpredictable - not something Erin could ever come to rely on. If the church of Beshaba ever caught wind of her identity, they would make it their mission to corrupt or kill her. What plans Tymora and Mystra have for her in the future remains a mystery. |
| Diffan04-01-07, 02:32 AM | Probably my human barbarian 1/fighter 8/frenzied berserker 7. He dealt out something like 180 damage on the 1st round and I only rolled 4d6. And every other round, probably something like 45 damage with each of his 6 attacks (gotta love clerics that cast brilliant aura and have boots of speed). Only problem was he was psycho/paranoid, had a severe case of alcoholism, and tourettes. Fun as hell to play, not so much fun for everyone else. |
| Dravial04-02-07, 01:12 PM | in 2nd edition it was a Drow elf infilitrator (fighter/wizard/thief) chaotic neutral by the name of of about 15 identities so many he couldnt remember his first name his familiar was a imp who remained invisibile and would speak to him in his mind and he would reply outloud... makeing his party think he was even more crazy than they believed. under the 3rd edition rules it would have to be a toss up between a human wizard 3/cleric 3/mystic theurge 2/dweormerkeeper 2 (i love and even played as a second edition half elf cleric/wizard of mystra back in the day) or a human warlock 6/green star adept 10 ive been playing in a one time play through campaign that has lasted longer than intended :) the warlock is a power house... no sleep no eat... just blow things up. but kinda boreing when ... finesse is needed |
| Panurg04-03-07, 06:43 AM | I only few characters above 10th level. One was an half elve Rogue13. The other one was outside the realms in the Dark Sun Setting, which was a Psion11/Wiz5. |
| SALDAR04-03-07, 10:52 PM | Allowishus Redfern, NG Strongheart Halfing, Ranger 3/Fighter 4/Barbarian 3/Deepwood Sniper 2/Order of the Bow Initiate 2/Wild Strider 5. Born in Lurien he now travels throughout the North with a variety of friends. Dunewalker, Neutral Half Giant Fighter 8/Psychic Warrior 8. Brought from his homeworld as a child to the arenas of Thay where he and his teammates earned their freedom (but not citizenship). They were sent on a mission to spy on the defenses of Waterdeep at which point they told the Thayans that they quit. The Thayans are not happy but have been unable to overcome and capture them. Them being Dunewalker, a yuan ti aberration, a half golem, a half orc, and an ogre. We'll see what the future holds. Hazor, CN Ar Tel Quessir Rogue 13/Professional Thief 3. Born and raised on Evermeet. Traveled to Waterdeep with his cousin (Rogue 1/Wizard 15) and joined up with some other adventurers. Their first adventure was an investigation in Waterdeep and their next had them traveling up and down the Sword Coast for some time (and many levels). He is very much like the rest of his people, "We are superior to the other races, including the other elven races." This attitude carries over into his chosen profession. If anyone asks him how good he is at what he does he simply replies, "The Best". So far, noone has been able to prove otherwise. If you have anything of value he wants you won't have it very long. |
| Lady_Mhaor04-03-07, 11:08 PM | Twilight Thel: Fighter: 7 shadow Dancer: 7 (Mask) no idea why she was better than my assassin |
| Joggernutt04-05-07, 04:25 PM | Mine was a Air Genasi Cleric of talos-5/fighter-1/stormlord-6 who went by the name of Kratos Mistbane(named him before god of war came out). He was the chosen of chaos nuff said!!!! |
| MerrikCale04-07-07, 09:26 AM | Halfling Expert 1 |
| ShadezofDis04-07-07, 10:29 AM | Halfling Expert 1 Psh, your DM was a fool. Allowing the Expert class just goes to show he/she didn't know how to DM. I limit my players to Commoners! It's like a munchkin argument but the opposite! |
| hammerofmoradin04-07-07, 11:02 AM | favorite charachters coming throught the time that you have played D&D,so ihave many favotite chars like this one: vimpire/drow fighter10/ sorcerrer5/blackguard 5,and at hes 1rst lvl i killed a flesh golem, hard to sucsses this but this char i think is litlle to much:bow: |
| Perun04-08-07, 02:22 AM | Drabwadnis Swiftwhoops, a (rock) gnome illusionist, from Shadowdale (2e). He was a cowardly little wizard who loved weapons, and always carried a large bunch of them, including a "three-thonged thing" (he picked it off some lizardm... lizardfolk we fought) and a specialy designed blowgun with a small metal mesh on the blowing end (to prevent accidental needle-swallowing :)). He talked with a lisp ("Let'sh go inveshtigate!"), and his favourite magic item was his cloak of the bat. Had a raccoon familiar. Eventually, bought a house in Shadowdale, and opened a business ("Gnomish salves and poultices", which, incidentally, also sold home-brewed beer and ale, and writing paper :)). Padraic, a human cleric of Grumbar from the Moonshaes (2e). He eventually built an underground temple near Mistledale. Rejected an unknown deity's (we knew her only as the Blue Lady) offer of becoming her Chosen, which resulted in lowering of his Constitution to 2. Maranzel, a human druid of Silvanus. Initially trained as an Underdark druid, his adventures lead him to the High Forest. He died as one of the highest-level Silvanite druids in the forest, trying to solve the mysterious war against druid by what appeared to be shadow druids of Shar. He had the opportunity to join them (he was to become the first druid of Shar), which he rejected. My current character, whom I'm enjoying very much playing, is Atreios Helioforos, an aasimar cleric of Lathander following the Risen Sun heresy. |
| tinyndil04-12-07, 10:47 AM | My favorite character was my first one: a moon elf rogue 11, Tinyndil Calebrimbor. His main call to glory was killing a wizard of Thay. |
| Aetheryn04-12-07, 04:21 PM | I was pretty pleased with my Blackguard...who also bears the same name as myself. Last I check he was playing a game of perpetual paddleball in the corner of some dungeon before my friends got into a fight and bailed mid-game, never to be seen again.:weep: Oh well... |
