| Garzlik06-12-07, 03:30 AM | I'm trying to make an interesting Fey'ri character, since they are one of my favorite races in the Forgotten Realms setting. I have all the source material for them, and the Last Mythal Trilogy was a great read. I've come up with an idea, but I need advice as to if it works or not, if its too complicated or a good idea. The year our campaign takes place in is 1373, so a year before Sarya free's the legion of fey'ri from the Nameless Dungeon. Thus, its really only a small number of Fey'ri active on Faerun at the time, most of them from one of the decendant houses. I've chosen Aelorothi as the house my character is from. She is young by elven standards, just having reached maturity. What I basically want to do is combine her devotion to two paticular fiends...Graz'zt, and Malkizid. Malkizid has much to do with the fey'ri, but I do like the lore behind Graz'zt and his seductive nature. My fey'ri is to be similar to her succubus heritage, using her looks and charm to get her ways. To combine both archfiends, I was thinking along these lines. My fey'ri begins play as a sorceress who just begins to find lore on Graz'zt, and finds herself stricken with him. She eventually wants to take the Thrall of Graz'zt class. Yet, one of Malkizid's servants, Niss'nley (half-sun elf/half-fiend yugoloth) has been tasked with turning the fey'ri to his side. We know the result of this larger goal in the Last Mythal trilogy. I was thinking that Miss'nley seduces my fey'ri into becoming an agent of Malkizid as well. I know demons and devils are direct enemies, but Maklizid is an exiled archdevil, and Graz'zt himself has sent one of his servants (Rule of Three) to try and co-ordinate an invasion of the upper planes by getting the demons, devils and yugoloths to work together. Theortically, my fey'ri could be a bridge between the two different fiends along these lines. What I'm wonderning is...does this work? Is it too far out there? Does anyone have a better idea? Thanks! |

I did think of something in a similar vein. The Fey'ri as written in 3.5 ed is a combination of Elf and Succubi turned into a race. But to do that the elves would need a number of Succubi. My theory was that the elves contacted one of the Demon Princes (my case Malcanthet, but you can use Graz'zt as he has a number of the sex demons) to gain access to the demonesses. Then they turned over a number of demonic elves to that Demon Prince for their use. I asked this of Eric Boyd at Candlekeep as he was the one that formed the Fey'ri as they are now, and while it was not what he was thinking of, he did help. It was also mentioned in the Forbidden House that there were Fey'ri on the plane, so an army of Demonfey serving Graz'zt is possible. Does that help? |
