I forget what manuel it was in but I remember seeing a picture of a deul between Selvetarm and Vhaerun (I probably spelled that wrong), anyways the latter had red hair.
Interesting concept, Drow with red hair.
What do you all think about that?

-It's a picture in Player's Guide to Faerūn. As for what I think...He is a deity, who can alter what he looks like at will, so, perhaps he was "red with anger", thus the hair.

Actually I meant what do you think about Drow having red hair.
Thought it was a neat idea.

By default, drow always have white or silvery hair. To dye it might raise a few (white or silvery) eyebrows and may mark you as someone belonging to a special faction, house, cult or faith. As for depictions ... quite a few show a lot of artistic freedom and you would do better to go by the lorebooks descriptions rather than the pics.

Nisstyre in EC's Daughter of the Drow had copper hair, which probably was his natural color.

(It was referred to as unusual, and I'd imagine it would have been explained if it was simply hair dye.)

Vhaeraun has red hair in Faiths and Pantheons too. And Jarlaxle has no hair at all LP

Isn't a certain blonde tone a possibility?

Isn't a certain blonde tone a possibility?

-Sure, some blondes have hair so light, it looks white.
