Lia The Sun Elf Wizard 01-25-08, 05:48 PM	In the Complete Psionic it says i can do a illithid blast w/ DC 10 +1/2 of my HD + cha modifier, and it also says i can raise the DC spending more points. Well.. they say its like a mind blast (after i looked for it like crazy in Expanded Psionics Handbook and in the Complete Psionic, i realized that is PSIONIC blast and not MIND blast, which is almost similar to the description of the illithid blast feat.) Unfortunately, there's no "augmented effect" to raise the DC of my blast in the psionic blast description text. I have 2 questions: 1st - the mind blast they say its really the psionic blast descripted in page 125 of the expanded psionics handbook and; 2nd: what's the initial power points cost (5?) and how many power points i must spend to raise the DC of the blast by 1(2?). I'd like a precise answer for these questions. Thank you!!!
BadCatMan 01-25-08, 09:59 PM	There is no answer to this. It's yet to be errata-ed, nor is it ever likely to be. Try the Psionics boards, look for some old questions about this, and find some common houserules from various Psionics boards experts.
Lia The Sun Elf Wizard 01-26-08, 12:55 PM	To get the illithid blast feat you need to be at least at level 5 (as 3rd level powers, you need to be at level 5 too). So i'm almost sure the base power points you have to spend is 5. And you can raise the DC by 1 the most of telepathic powers spending 2 more power points. So i think the correct would be base power point cost: 5 and raising the DC by 1 for each 2 another power points when you manifest the power (remembering you can't spend more power points than your manifester level.). So, the final DC would be: 10 + 1/2 of your HD + cha modifier + 1 for every 2 power points you spend when you manifest this power. If a moderator see this message, s/he could ask the author of the complete psionic to confirm my thought. Thanks!
