Suin Bahhar 11-26-07, 05:08 PM	If the organisations tied to the class are diametrically opposed for example. Unless your players character can juggle alliances he should have difficulty being up to date with both the Red wizards and a Knights of the Sevenfold Veil.
Green Elven Vampire 11-26-07, 07:47 PM	Absolutely!! My fave PC right now has multiple PrC's. He's a Moon elf Rogue 5/ Cleric 7/ Divine disciple 5/ Mischiefmaker 5 of Erevan Ilesere. As a DM I would allow up to three PrC's if they all fit the characters base classes.
Stigger 11-27-07, 03:41 AM	I'd say yes, don't think I'd put a limit on them per se, but at the same time the PrCs had better make sense for the PC or I'm pulling out the veto stick.
Bluenose 11-27-07, 06:22 AM	Yes, by the rules as written. Some DMs do limit it. The commonest is to one prestige class, though I know one who preferred no more than ten levels in prestige classes. The idea is to limit character optimisation, but it isn't entirely practical to make up hard and fast rules for this. Neither of the limits above allow a Wizard 5/Red Wizard 10/Archmage 5, for example, yet it's hardly a ridiculous combination.
Ranger REG 11-28-07, 12:45 AM	Can a player be more than one prestige classe? You'll have to ask your DM. If there is no limit, then as long you meet and maintain all of the prestige classes' requirements, you can have as many as you desire.
Thinblade 11-28-07, 01:10 AM	And some DM's, like me, barely allow any. It's entirely up to the DM. By RAW (Rules As Written) you can take as many PrC's as you qualify for.
