| DarkSongKnight12-21-07, 10:34 AM | Hi all, I've been looking through Lliira-lore recently, and decided to do a version of her specialty priests, the Joydancers. There was a version available as a free-download here (http://www.ericlboyd.com/dnd/prestige_classes.html) that I used for reference and some of the abilities. Lord Karsus, I borrowed the table setup from you; I hope thats o.k. I also started a thread at Candlekeep here (http://forum.candlekeep.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10383). Comments and suggestions are welcome, as I plan on using this PrC soon. I might make one for the Scarlet Mummers if anyone is interested. :) Joydancer of Lliira Hit Die: d6. Requirements To qualify to become a joydancer, a character must fulfill the following criteria. Alignment: Chaotic good. Skills: Diplomacy 6 ranks, Perform (dance) 4 ranks. Feats: Sacred Vow, Vow of Nonviolence. Spellcasting: Ability to cast 3rd level divine spells. Patron Deity: Lliira. Class Skills Balance, Concentration, Craft, Diplomacy, Gather Information, Heal, Jump, Knowledge (local), Knowledge (religion), Perform, Profession, Sense Motive, Spellcraft, and Tumble. Skill Points at Each Level: 4 + Int modifier. Class Features Level/BAB/Fort/Ref/Will/Special Ability/Spellcasting 1st/+0/+2/+2/+2/Lliira's Heart, Subduing Strikes/+1 level 2nd/+1/+3/+3/+3/Festival Leader/+1 level 3th/+1/+3/+3/+3/Bliss/+1 level 4th/+2/+4/+4/+4/Dancer's Grace/+1 level 5th/+2/+4/+4/+4/Dance of Rapture/+1 level Class Features All of the following are features of the joydancer prestige class. Weapon and Armor Proficiency: Joydancers gain proficiency with the lasso, net, and sap. They do not gain any proficiency with armor or shields. Spells per Day: When a new level of Joydancer is gained, she gains new divine spells and spells per day as if she had gained a level in whatever divine spellcasting class allowed her access to the joydancer prestige class. She does not, however, gain any other benefits a character of that class would have gained (improved chance of turning undead, and so on). Lliira's Heart (Ex): At 1st level, joydancers receive a +2 sacred bonus on saves against compulsion and fear effects. Subduing Strikes (Ex): Beginning at 1st level, a joydancer gains a +1 bonus per joydancer level to all melee attacks and damage rolls that deal nonlethal damage or no damage. These include unarmed strikes, grapple attempts and attacks using the lasso, net, and sap. Festival Leader (Ex): Lliira aids her most devoted followers by allowing them to learn about customs, traditions, and festivals in various regions more easily. They are to use this knowledge to spread and participate in festivals everywhere. Beginning at 2nd level, joydancers gain a + 2 competence bonus to all Gather Information and Knowledge (local) checks. If the joydancer is looking to find out about festivals in particular, this bonus increases to +4. Bliss (Sp): At 3rd level, a joydancer can cause a single creature within 30 feet who fails a DC Will save (10 + joydancer levels + Cha modifier) to become lost in a trance of intense pleasure and happiness. This is a mind-affecting compulsion effect. A creature that successfully saves cannot be affected again by the same joydancer's bliss ability for 24 hours. A blissful creature wanders aimlessly about, smiling in a dazed fashion. They are treated as stunned, save that they move 10 feet per round in a random direction. Any damage dealt to the blissful creature automatically breaks the effect. This ability lasts for 1 round/joydancer level, and can be used a number of times per day equal to the joydancer's Charisma modifier (minimum 1/day). Dancer's Grace (Sp): At 4th level, a joydancer can make a willing creature (including themselves) more graceful, agile, and coordinated. Their touch grants a +4 sacred bonus to Dexterity and Perform checks for 1 min./joydancer level. Each use of this ability affects only one creature. The ability is usable 3/day. Dance of Rapture (Sp): At 5th level, a joydancer gains the ability to enter a divine-inspired state of joy and pleasure. This fuctions exactly as the spell empyreal ecstasy, except that it can affect 1 creature/joydancer level, and lasts for 1 round/joydancer level. This ability is usable 1/day. |
