Alrite, so I am creating this epic prestige class, please tell me what you think. Note also that it is a very rare class, and besides two individuals it is not known to exist (Larloch and Tam)

Master Necromancer:
Master Necromancers were a secret sect of magic users within the ancient Netherese empire. They were master's of the dead, creating mass armies to defend their kingdoms. They even excelled into tapping into divine means to further their arcane power, actually fueling it more then the weave could ever. However, users of this art were few and far between as it was took immense knowledge and prowess to even begin commanding such power.

Such knowledge was lost after the fall of Netheril, and long forgotten in the centuries since the city's grandeur. However, there is one lich of immense power whom still holds the secrets, although no master himself.
Prerequisites:
Undead

Greater Spell Focus (Necromancy)

a pretty powerful class, you may as well remove the BAB and saves since it seems to be an epic class.

i'd put secrets of necromancy spells class ability at a lower level, also since your a master of necromancy maybe turn the secrets of eternal life to change you into a lich, i reckon most practitioners of this class would become a lich at some point if they heven't transformed themselves already.

secrets of negative energy, perhaps make it similar to other abilities which make spells half energy/half something else in a similar style to flame strike.

i'd prolly merge the captain and general of undead abilities effects increasing your undead control capacity into your necromancy caster level x2 for captain and x5 for general

the rebuke undead ability should stack with other classes which grant it, pretty much every other class (meaning i can't think of any that don't) allows stacking of turn/rebuke. if you don't want this class to be available to clerics then change the requirements to "ability to cast 9th level arcane spells."

those are the changes which I think i'd make to the class. I quite like the various necromancy classes and i think this class has potential for an awesome epic necro class

1. Master of Necromancy (The user gains a bonus to his necromancy caster level and necromancy spell DC's equal to his Master Necromancer levels)
Far to powerful, 1/2 is already quite powerful.

2. Secrets of Commanding (Master Necromancer gains Rebuke undead equal to his character level which stacks with his cleric levels if any)
Change character level by caster level

3. Ranged Animation (User may cast animate dead at 100ft +10ft/Level without having to touch the corpses)
Short range should be good enough

4. Secrets of Necromancy Spells (The user may learn any Necromancy ability from any other class just has he may learn spells of his own class)
Change necromancy ability by necromancy spell

5.Captain of Undeath (Users limit for controlling undead through spells increases x5, limit for rebuking undead x2)
outch

6. Secrets of Life Draining (For every negative Level or ability point drain the user causes, he heals 5 Temporary HP Which Vanish after one hour. He may not have more then double his maximum Hit Points)
sounds good

7.Creator of Unlife (A wizard my spontanouesly turn any spell into a create dead or create greater undead, depending upon level much like a cleric can spontaneously cast inflict/cure spells)
same here

8. Secrets of Negative Energy (The user may turn any fire, cold, acid, electric subtype spell into a spell that utilizes negative energy instead)
no way, 1/2 negative energy, and it is still an overkill

9.General of Undeath(Limit for controlling undead through spells increases to x10, limit for controlling undead through rebuking increasing to x5 normal)
outch 2

10. Secrets of eternal Life (Becomes immortal, and ceases ageing. Also, if killed and has failed to be resurrected within one year he returns to Faerun in full form)
Useless since being an undead is a requirement.

An interesting idea :) The 10th level ability is moot however, since to take the PrC, one is already immortal and unaging (being undead has it's perks;) ). Why Larloch tho? I would think Aumvor would be more suitable for this prestige class, having been the foremost expert of necromancy in Netheril:)

He is not a Master Necromance, only he has ancient Tomes describing how to harness the power of one.

In my campaign, Szass Tam is becoming one, in exchange for services to Larlch, he gains anceint knowledge that was rare to Netheril itself.

As soon as I get it tweaked that is, and it is a powerful class right now...I am starting to believe slightly overpowered...

If he is killed, the only way for him not to come back is a WISH or Miracle. Otherwise, his bones slowly reform in the place of his choice.

Thats what the 10lvl ability should say.

I always wonder how Szass Tam can control his undead army. Too many HD of undeads.
