Well anyways in all those Chinese films they have monk dudes that use the spear or Naginata. Is there any feat or abilities that monks can get to use polearms, possibly with furry of blows? |

| BadCatMan06-15-07, 01:56 AM | There's a feat called Serpent Strike in the Eberron Campaign Setting that lets you flurry a longspear. And Shou Disciple will let you flurry with any melee weapon (starts at light, then finishes at any). |

You could use a fan-brewed feat called Weapon Flurry which is buried deep in the Oriental Adventures forum in this Wizards' messageboard. |

Yes thats right , but remember that with a quarterstaff you flurry always(?) as a double weapon so i dont was sure if you can with a polearm |

Anyway, yes, Shou Disciple can be quite for that. You can FINALLY make decent disarms with your flurry, for example, or go for a reach weapon and then switch to unarmed attacks when they get close. |
| Valgard06-15-07, 05:48 PM | I think there's a feat in DRAGON Compendium (edited by Paizo Publishing) to use a polearm as a monk weapon. |
| carm06-15-07, 06:58 PM | there is a feat in DRAGON issue 331 that allows you to treat a pole arm as a monk weapon, and flurry with it. |
| Ranger REG06-16-07, 02:49 AM | Yes thats right , but remember that with a quarterstaff you flurry always(?) as a double weapon so i dont was sure if you can with a polearm No, you flurry it as a two-handed weapon -- as in, one end of a double weapon -- although the FoB rule trump the two-handed weapon damage rule. IOW, you get the extra attack(s) in exchange for the 1.5x Str bonus to damage. |
