| Dankan12-07-07, 03:00 AM | Ok i'm DMing a new campaign i.m gonna start in two days and i would like some help. One of my PCs wants to make a wizard but he likes rogue 2 so he asked if there's a presstige class to combine somewhat those 2.I was going to suggest him the magelord frome LEOF but in the requirements it says u must be able to cast 5th lvl spells(9 lvl wiz) and u need evasion. If he takes rogue levels he'll be 11 lvl before taking the magelord class which means he'll never be able to reach 10th lvl at level 20.Is there a class or a race which grants evasion within only one lvl?Furthermore another PC wants to make a wizard-fighter and i'm not sure which of those classes i should tell him to put:eldritch knight, spellsword or bladesinger. Finally another player of mine would like to make something of either daggerspell mage, arcane archer, or mystic theurge.I am really confused with alla of these and some help would be appreciated.Thnx in advance :) |

| MerrikCale12-07-07, 11:17 PM | did he consider a Beguiler base class? |
| Dankan12-08-07, 07:13 AM | No he;s not interested in beguiler cause heneeds a full assortement of spells and beguiler has it's own rules.Furthermore i would suggest him taking daggerspell or magelord.U haven't answered my other quetsion though. And from where is an magical trickster, uncunny trickster? |

It's obviously a mistake on the design part of the prc. |

It is a VERY powerful PrC. You may not want it in your game. The Arcane Archer is very nasty when you combine spells like sonic weapon (spell comp.) and flame arrow (PHB) with the reserve feat Blade of Force (complete mage). Arrows end up dealing tremendous amounts of damage. Fighter5/Wizard5/ Arcane Archer10 or Fighter4/Sorcerer6/ Arcane Archer10 |

| Alediran12-10-07, 08:55 AM | For a Shadow Caster you have the Shadow Adept PrC, it requires the Shadow Weave Feat among other things. |
| Fingoldfin12-17-07, 01:56 AM | Thnx Fingoldfin! How about shadowcaster do u thinj it would work well?Well i'm running a campaign where the elfis a friend of Galaeron Nihmendu so i thought u know;)... Sorcerer 10/Shadow Adept 10 The spells Shadow evocation and Shadow Conjuration make this VERY nasty. I ran a game with a player that used this build and it was sick. Lucky for me he was a good role-player so he avoided doing some of the stuff he could have done. The save DCs for his shadow spells were astronomical. This was before they 'fixed' shadow adept in 3.5e, but I still think the class is broken. If you do let it into your game I would suggest that you make the PC be a wizard instead of sorcerer this can help minimize the abuse of shadow evocation and conjuration spells. your welcome :) |
