Hmm, in truth the those things, seem to be very powerful
From what is said about them, they all come off as LV 18 to 25 ish
As far as class they are...Wiz? Psion?

Its kind of like your building a epic creature.

O well have fun

-Savage Species, which is about playing monsters as PCs, should help.

All the info you need is located in the Lost Empires of Faerun book.

A hatchling Phaerimm is ECL 4 (2hd, 2la). Subtract 10 or 11 from each ability score to get your modifiers to ability scores (don't forget the bumps at every 4 HD when doing the math). And the rest of the info is in the tables.

One of my players plays a phaerimm PC in my underdark campaign. It's a pretty interesting character. He views all the other PCs as being slaves he hasn't fully asserted his will over yet.

According to Lost Empires of Faerun, hatchling phaerimm have a +2 LA, are tiny size, +2 natural armor, have -6 Str, +6 Dex, +2 Wis and +2 Cha, SR and a number of magical abilities.

Not to give too many other details, I'll just give the basics of the rest. Juvenile phaerimm have a +3 LA (7 ECL, they have 4 HD), young adult have a +4 LA (11 ECL), adults +5 LA (15 ECL) and mature adults have +6 LA (19 ECL).

Elder phaerimm and revered elders don't have level adjustments and since they have such high hit die (16 and 19, respectively), they'd be epic anyways.

-That's pretty funny- I like it. I bet thates for some interesting role playing, eh? What happens when they "go to town"? Illusions to disguise the giant floating windsock?

Since they cast spells as a sorcerer of a level equal to their HD, and that sorcerer class levels stack with their natural spellcasting, I'd go sorc. Well, no I wouldn't. I'd take 3 levels of wizard and then go UM.

Pretty much. As a 7HD phaerimm, he's automatically a 7th level sorcerer so he either cloaks himself in invisibility, cast an illusion spell or two to make himself appear as a member of the most common race in the city their visiting, or shrinks himself down and hides in the grimlock barbarian PC's pouch while telepathically directing the grimlock to the shops he's most interested in.

The current party is as follows:

- A NE young adult phaerimm with no class levels
- A CN male grimlock brb7 (has a low will save and is often charmed by the phaerimm)
- A LE male duergar psychic warrior3/ftr2/war mind5 (rides a strider)
- A NE male drow rog3/wiz3/spellwarp sniper3 (plays him like a sniper/assassin)
- A NE male drow clr5 of Vhaeraun/strifeleader4 (adapted to Vhaeraun)
- A NE female "devious" gloura brd2

The fact that this is evil, lasting, and has not been complained about yet, makes me want to join this game :P

-Indeed. Sounds like a lot of fun, on both sides of the screen.

Ohhh, thhat just gives me an idea. I might make a backup character a phaerimm in my current campaign. And since our house rules eliminate lv adjustment... :schemes: Well, one of our characters is a Rakhasha anyway, so I guess that will kind of keep me in check.

And since our house rules eliminate lv adjustment... :schemes:

-I had a DM who did that. He let one of our players take a PrC (Arcane Archer) at 1st level, while everyone else were regular ol' classes. By 10th level, when everyone else was moderatley tough, the 10th level Arcane Archer was shooting arrows of death, and generally making everyone else look unneccesary.
