| HVulpes02-16-07, 09:31 AM | I just wanted to discuss the different planetouched of Faerun now that Eric L. Boyd's Ancient Legacies from Dragon 350 has been out for a while. Has anyone developed any characters, adventure hooks or other play values using that articule? Have you done anything with the planetouched that have been introduced in the other Dragon articules, Races of Faerun or any of the Monster Manual? I am also curious about the idea of people adapting the more common planetouched? Like adding elven traits to an Aasimar to create one that is a Elven/Celestial combination. Or taking the Melodious Voice (Bonuses on influencing NPC, Animals and Magical Beasts) of the Celadrin, renaming it Seductive Voice and giving it to a Tiefling with Succubi or Pleasure Devil Blood? Also have you created an planetouched that is new, unique and linked with Faerun? Just kicking some idea for one of my favourite races. |

| HVulpes02-16-07, 09:49 AM | there is an air genasi Favored soul of Selune in our campaign I take it you used the expanded Planetouched Gods by Sean Renyolds? I curious about what was done to make it unique? The air genasi traits in physical appearances and how they link to any of the other abilities of the genasi or what was done to make it harmonize with the class. Did it gain the wings yet and were they made to resemble the wings of any of the bird like creatures from the plane of air? Or perhaps a creature with the air subtype or with the Air domain? Sounds interesting. |

As owls are sacred to Selune and white & silver are her colours. Perhaps she could even have a silvery white skin or a soft blue colour skin that might resemble the sky or the Shards that serve Selune. Blue hair is a sign of being decended from a Shard in the Expanded Planetouched gods that on Sean Renyold's site, but it could also work for a air genasi that worships her. Perhaps even causing a mix up of being mistaken for an Aasimar by tieflings worshipping Malar or Shar. Or the rare Aasimar that have been corrupted by Shar from despire of being isolated from society. Just trying to add somethings that could be used to detail the character or give an excuse for an addventure. |

She was actually left at the doorstep of a Selune temple due to a strange moonshape marking on her back. As th only known favored soul of Selune (so far), she commands a good deal of awe w/in that community. She has blue/cold skin |
| Valgard02-16-07, 04:17 PM | My brother wanted to play a Fey'ri when he first saw it in Monsters of Faerūn... and he finally played one using the version from Races of Faerūn. He was playing a chaotic evil sorcerer disguised as a sun elf and he show up his true appereance in a decisive battle... it was very impressive. |
| MessiahOmega02-16-07, 10:18 PM | i am toying with the idea of creating positive and negitive energy plane planetouched, as well as a plane of shadows plane touched. |
| Francho102-16-07, 10:44 PM | wondering if in the realms the plane touched of law and chaos exsit and what would there stats be. In monster manual 2 there are the chonds and the zephirs |
| HVulpes02-17-07, 07:22 AM | There is at least one version of shadow planetouched in Planar's Handbook called the Shadowswifts (Or some varient spelling of that). There is also a page on the internet that has one person's design of Negative and Positive planetouched (I think I found it by surfing for planetouched, aasimar or tiefling). I believe that someone asked Ed Greenwood on Candlekeep if those kinds of planetouched existed in the realms and he agreed there were a small number of them with the other kinds of planetouched. I am myself working on a character which is a Celadrin Cleric of Finder Wyvernspur (I explain this divine choice due to the fact that Finder is a god of art and Celadrin are artisans and musicians at heart). I just have the problem of being indecisive and have trouble or working out the details. On planetouched genetics, do you see the planetouched gene/s as a recessive gene that skips generation or something like a random gene/s that could appear without warning? Could certain magics or events cause those gene/s to emerge more than it normally would (like casting spells with alignment or elemental subtypes, being on certain planes at conception of during pregnacy, etc)? Thanks for commenting. |

In monster manual 2 there are the chonds and the zephirs there is a dragon magazine that came out at the same time as the epic level hand book, it has para-genasi (dust, ice, ooze, magma, steam, ect) and the cansin, a chaotic genesi, and another (cant remember the name) thats lawful. the MM2 ones were more along the lines of specific parentage, the slaad and something else. theres also planetouched in the mm3, like the one from mechanus (not sure how that fits into the realms). |

Found the site with the Positive/Negative planetouched: andycollins dot net slash features slash planetouched dot htm (not a link, but enough info for an address) There are the Incandent and the Voidling. Interestingly, they are level adjustemnt zero. |

| HVulpes03-15-07, 09:55 AM | Just curious about people's thoughts on the idea of a match up of the Celadrin Cleric of Finder Wyvernspur and a Fey'ri Sorceress, Wizardress or Rogue. My idea is that Firesong (A last name, possibliy coming from Firre's song) is a forgiving character due to the nature of his god, his celestial nature and his own oddball nature. The Fey'ri is not a good person, yet is moving away from evil. She was nursed to health by Firesong and slowly fell for him. She tries to be a better person for him, yet can be hard when he is in danger or if another woman shows too much interest in him. As a twist, I see her as a desendant of Malcanthet and some of the Fey'ri and/or Elves that fallen under the Succubi Queen's power. IDEA: Perhaps the increase of Fey'ri could be a result of a breeding program of certain Demon Lords like Graz'zt and Malcanthet. Kidnapping/corrupting elves and breeding them with their succubi. Just curious about people's thoughts. |
