problem with song dragon [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-24-07, 09:23 AM I've noticed that,at least in the MoF manual that I have,there's a difference between the CR of the song dragon as it is written in the monster's description and the one at the end of the book.

Song dragon description/Summary
2 /2
4 /3
6 /5
8 /7
10 /10
13 /13
15 /15
18 /17
19 /18
21 /20
22 /22
24 /24

Which one of the two is the right one?

Moreover,have you noticed such other errors in other dragons' CR?

05-24-07, 02:17 PM Full write-ups always trump tables. I never look at those "monster by CR" tables, so can't say if there's other instances of discrepancies.

Dielzen is indeed correct. As a general rule of design, the text trumps the table. There are always exceptions, but it seems that you don't have enough time to wait for a custserv reply. If you decide to go with the text, make sure to increase the CRs by one because the 3.5 update (in the Player's Guide to Faerun web enhancement) increased all of the CRs by 1 for the age categories
