Now before you look at the title and decide it's in the wrong place, read on I do say!

I'm trying to figure out if Proffit the Troll, from R.A.Salvatore's Hunter's Blades trilogy, is still alive and, if he is, if anyone knows if stats exist for him? I'm basing a game in the Evermoors after the events of the third book and wondered if he'd be able to come up against my players or not. I know most people'll say "do what you think's best" but I like to try and stick to what's been wrote already and work on that instead of rewriting things.

Proffits fate will probably be revealed in the upcoming Transitions series by R.A. Salvatore. My bet is he probably meets an early demise at the hands of a certain Scimiter-wielding Drow (No not that one, the other one!). If he does survive then he will probably end up being driven out of the Trollmoors(Evermoors) along with the other Trolls as Gerti's Frost Giants move in to the Trollmoors. This may make an interesting as campaign as Proffits trolls ravage the surrounding countryside, only for the PC's to find out that Gerti's giants are the real reason for the Trolls attacks.

This could have gone into Faerunian People & Places as this board is mostly about creatures, classes unique to the realms rather than characters....but I don't think anyone will mind.

I'm not sure whether Proffit survived or not...it's been a while since I've read those books. Pretty sure he did, though, 'cause I can't remember reading about him getting killed.

As for his stats, I've never seen anything official. Personally, I'd probably stat him with some character levels (2-5), either barbarian/fighter or barbarian/ranger, and apply the "Multi-Headed Creature" template from pages 124-126 of the 'Savage Species' book.

Actually he is a fell troll, I believe Fell Troll is stated in Unnaproachable East(I could be wrong about the book, in fact the more I think about it the less sure I feel-I'll await the inevitable correction.)

Fell Trolls are quite powerful already he may not need any classes, but 1 or 2 never hurt anybody.

He is still alive atm, altough with the upcoomeing trilogy that migh change, but idk.

I've statted him out as a Fell troll and the link is in my sig, or you can go to the People and Places board and check in the thread there thats on the first page called Characters of Mr Salvatore.

Aye, I often use some of your stas for RAS's characters. Mostly for non-statted characters like Proffit, Athrogate etc.

[speking about giving a monster a few class levels], but 1 or 2 never hurt anybody.

Indeed they do hurt somebody :P
