Ranger Favored enemy and organizations [Archive] - Wizards Community

07-25-07, 06:15 AM Not all Shadovars are members of the church of Shar and not all Sharrian are actually Shades. The problem comes that some shadovars are actually members of the mentioned church. If you take these two favored enemies, the bonuses will not stack and therefore you'll take the greatest for individuals that belong to both groups.

Do you mean the Shadovar region (and all characters that originate from it, regardless of actual race/type/subtype) as a favored enemy? Much like the way that Rangers from Aglarond or Rashemen can choose "Thayans" as a favored enemy rather than selecting "Red Wizards of Thay" or "Humans", and thus have that bonus apply to all characters from the Thay region (such as Red Wizards, Clerics of Kossuth, Gnoll brigands, undead minions, etc).

I ask because IIRC the term Shadovar--other than the title of the character region--is generally used to refer to the non-shade denizens of Shade enclave, namely Netherese humans.
