Avrilmalidor 07-01-07, 12:05 PM	I don't know if it is just me as the requirements for the Red Wizard PrC do not specifically list being a specialist mage as a requirement. However, reading the class description and looking at examples of the Zulkirs that are presented elsewhere it is heavily implied that Red Wizards are specialized specialists using terms like "choosing an additional prohibited school". If one was a plain old wizard, there would be no prohibited school in use, this implies that one already might have chosen prohibited schools. I also noticed that some materials list Wiz5/Red1 for npcs so it seems they do have generalist wizards. Anyone else notice this or am I reading too far into something that is obviously stated in the class requirements?
Cloaked_in_Shadow 07-01-07, 02:05 PM	As far as I know they all have to be specialist wizards. I have seen a couple npc's that are Wiz/Red also, it maybe just a typo.
Valgard 07-01-07, 03:49 PM	There's no typographical error. The Red Wizard prestige class has as a requirement the Tatto Focus feat, and that feat requires you to be an specialist wizard. Maybe, the author should have included the "Specialist Wizard" requirement to make it redundant and to generate no confusions.
