i am currently playing a third level drow rogue. i just reached third level after our last session. as of right now, my character is very good with sneaking, hiding, sleight of hand, etc. i actually have those as high as they can be at this point in time. i am also working heavily with a shortbow and various poisons. big fan of the poisons by the way. when in combat, i tend to support my teammates with my poisoned arrows rather than lead the battle. which i am sure few rogues actually do. anyway, i was wondering what all of you think a good prestige class would be for me to go into. i was looking into the assassin because i think that the spells as well as the death attack would come in handy with my current play style. please send any suggestions as well as support or criticism for any mentioned PrC. thanks

we dont really know exactly what is going down at this point. there are still a lot of blank spots in our story. at this moment, we are going to a trade town that is controlled by red wizards. these wizards are controlling the magic item trade in the region. it has been a while since we played, so i dont really remember what we were going to the town for. our main enemy at this point is red wizards and maybe some minor monsters here and there. i have already used my rogue skills quite a bit and i dont see that changing in the future. i am the only one in our group to reach lvl 3 so far. i was thinking more of a class that would use the rogue ability to be not as useless in combat (outside of the sneak attack of course).

Assasin would be a really good choice. And if your gonna be in the east, Telflammer Shadowlord from Unapproachable East is a really good PrC and the death attack stacks with that of assasin. Also if I may suggest a feat, take Craven from Champions of Ruin, it really helps out your sneak attack. For an alternate idea, in the one and only evil campiagn we played, my character was a NE drow Rog/Clr of Vhaerun with the Darkmask PrC from Lords of Darkness and Divine Trickster (converted Arcane Trickster into divine form). It was a very fun character to play, oh how I enjoyed making those Llothites pay for all there transgressions.

Assassin, Shadowdancer, Duelist, but in the it all depends on what kind of pc do you want to play.

Don't forget the divine seeker possibility, if not to take just one level and get a +10 bonus to hide and I think move silently lasting a number of minutes equal to your charisma bonus which you can split up as you see fit.
