| Thieran04-21-07, 07:01 AM | While it is stated that shadow dragons have ties to the Plane of Shadow, it seems open to interpretation what that means exactly. A question that arose in our campaign is whether shadow dragons exist simultaneously on Faerūn and on the Plane of Shadow; f.e., can a character facing a shadow dragon escape this threat by casting shadow walk (I know that older shadow dragons can cast this spell as well, but what about younger ones)? Thank you for your help, Thieran |

| Faraer04-21-07, 07:30 PM | See Gary Gygax's novel City of Hawks to see a shadow dragon in the Plane of Shadow, as conceived by the man who invented both. |

| Thieran04-22-07, 07:29 AM | First of all, thank you very much for your help! I also think that they do not exist on both planes, or else the ability of older dragons to cast shadow walk would make no sense. |

The same Dragon does not, however, exist simultaneously on both planes at once. |
