Is there any race that grants a bonus to INT and WIS? Also, is there any way to allow a multiclass cleric/wizard to cast spells in armor without the standard arcane failure chance? Besides the warmage I mean? Thanx in advance.

I can't remind any race with those bonuses.

I think there's no form to avoid the arcane spell failure from wizard spells. There's the Battle Caster feat from Complete Arcane that ignores arcane spell failure from hevier armor than you have for a single class's spells, but you need to ignore spell failure from spells with at least light armor. The only thing I may recommend you is to use battle sorcerer (Unearthed Arcana) warmage (Miniatures Handbook and Complete Arcane), dread necromancer (Heroes Of Horror), or beguiler (Player's Handbook II), and take the Battle Caster feat.

Another option is, if you want a necromancer build, to use the Death Master from Dragon Compendium vol. I, that allows you ignore spell failure if you add a material component of blood from a sacrifice to Orcus.

I could have answered both of those questions for you were this posted elsewhere, but as it has nothing to do with the Realms, I will have to ask that this be instead taken to perhaps the character optimization board, in the general section.

Well actually, it is for a FR campaign and was specifically inclusive of Realmsian races, so I think that it does belong here.

Nowhere in the initial post does it state that it was a Realms based question, nor did it ask specifically for the answers received to be drawn from Realms only sources. It seems glaringly obvious to me-- as I'm sure it will many others-- that it is in fact a character optimization request, and thus belongs on the board appropriate for such things.

This truthfully could be asked on any board and in turn not be answered any differently as you generically ask for help, stating no preferred sources we are to answer you from, thus making it non Realms specific in and unto itself.

This is not an attempt to be rude, or in any way dodging your question, but the simple fact of the matter is that the Wizo's here have made the request to the community that threads from now on be posed as a Forgotten Realms questions if they aren't FR specific to begin with.

These boards are becoming entirely to flooded with non-Realmsian threads thus their want to begin cleaning them up.

We don't read minds, so simply because you yourself knew it to be for a Realms campaign doens't mean all here should instantly draw that same conclusion.

Ah, well if I had known that the WizOs had requested the question itself be phrased in Realmsian lexicon, I would have done so. I assumed that because the question was posted here, that it would be inferred that it was a Realms related question, otherwise it would have been posted in the Char Op board... BTW, what does questions regarding feats have to do here anyways, being the Classes, Races, Monsters thread?

Well if you are referring to the "Greenbound summoning" feat, then I would assume it is here as the feat is designed to augment summoned creatures, and for the most part creatures tend to be monsters.

Not to mention there doesn't happen to be a section called "feats" here in the Realms area, and it just so happens to also be a Realms feat. ;)

Regardless, I did not say the set up here was perfect, merely that within the last week or so the Wizo's have made the announcment on these forums stating that they would be cracking down on the issue of threads not pertaining to the Realms cropping up. ;)

To your original questions now since you have since been informed of the change, further information is needed for an accurate answer to be given for the former. Is there a LA alotment for your race selection, or can any race qualify? This is important because we could theoretically note that some dragons have both INT and WIS mods, which probably would be of no use to you. ;).

If no LA is allowed in your current campaign, then the gold elves, or "High Elves" found in the FRCS, and in the RoF, happen to get a juicy bonus to their INT rather than their DEX, so that could be an option.

As for the latter, if you wish to go Wizard/ Cleric and not suffer arcane spell failure for wearing armor, the only option for you that makes perfect sense would be the "Geomancer" PRC found on pp. 42 of the "Complete Divine" Sourcebook.

For future referance though, your question--regardless of what setting you are currently playing in-- is still not Realms specific and doesn't need to be. Answers will often come faster, and in greater abundance on the appropriate boards. :)
