natzero 07-30-07, 01:37 PM	ok this may sound really dumb and i think im cool wit that ;p a battle sorc would count as a sorc for the purposes of dragonic feats right? sorc lvl 1 req? im pretty sure its cool but variants tend to scare me with the side rules and ability swapping
Valgard 08-01-07, 07:22 AM	I have several reasons to think that a battle sorcerer counts as a sorcerer. First, the explanation surely says (I don't have the book in front of me right now) that the battle sorcerer is like a sorcerer except as follows, so if nothing is said about draconic feats or anything similar (although that was after Unearthed Arcana was released) you should consider it like a sorcerer. Another thing is that if you take the battle sorcerer class you cannot then take 'normal' sorcerer levels, so is like a 'replacement class' of the sorcerer.
