Who/What is it? the monster/creature of the cover of the Fiendish Codex I - Hordes of the Abyss.

Also, is there any outsider, specially demon/devil, that have a serpent-like shape that could be summon by means of the known spells or any other means like a ritual or any other?

I didn't want to make a thread out of this but I couldn't help it, I keep wondering about it and is a long search through all the monsters supplements available these days.

well you could use mind control on a yuan ti there are better than devils in towns there yuan ti live. the swewers are not a place a devil would wat to be but the yuan ti are under mind control a few evil poeple in the sperent house books (really good books ) but they used psion i would think it would be just has easy with wizard spells. mind control is much safer than devils words and the weak wards you can put up to keep them away and the yuan ti under mind control would be great no having to pay off the devil no worring that the devil will kill you. go with yuan ti if you can use mind control.

i just remebered the naga other great thing to use mind control on with there are no yuan tis around. i do not know of any summoned monster but i did not check . for more mind conttrol idea use the <sperent kingdoms source book>

If you ask me, the monster of the cover of FC1 looks like a Marilith (Monster Manual).

I'm with you... a demon with a snake tail instead of legs, female torso and head, and six arms is a marilith.

Excuse me, this happen to me all the time, I tend to just say what I think is necessary and will suffice to get an answer but often isn't enough.

So I'll try to clarify. I know is a Marilith, so thanks, I was curious about if it were an specific Marilith or Shaktari 'Queen of the Mariliths" ruler of the 531th layer Vudra.

My other question stay the same. Also, is there any outsider, specially demon/devil, that have a serpent-like shape that could be summon by means of the known spells or any other means like a ritual or any other?

Mammon, lord of Minauros the 3rd layer of Baator. He's got a serpentine lower body.

Geryon had a serpentine lower body as well, but he's dead, devoured by Asmodeus, with only tattered remnants of his essence remaining in Vestige form

Merrshaulk takes the form of a giant serpent (a deity who may or may not, depending on the source, also be an Abyssal Lord).

Lillendi (CN/CG outsiders) have serpentine lower bodies, though they aren't fiends.
