05-05-07, 12:02 PM I am playing in a game where all the PCs are weak damage dealers the hardest member of the party is the druids cat? I was thinking about seeing if the DM would let me have a Tanarukk as a cohort using the leadership feat what dose people thing of this Idea we do need a heavy damage dealy we all use Rapiers or light maces short swords so max damge most of the time can be as low as 10 for me up to 17 with boost with spells and bardic music etc. so mad strenght greatsowrd weailder could be very usefull.

I'm not sure I get what you're asking. Are you saying should you use a tanarukk as a cohort or can you use one?
If you are, I would say why not to the first and yes to the second. I believe their ECL is 8. 5 outsider hit dice and a +3 level adjustment.

05-08-07, 01:01 PM Why a tanarukk ?? ECL of "8" ...I think ,from what u telling us, that u are now starting a new game n if i understand well u are low lvl . So i think that your DM would be insane of letting u have a tanarukk .. (NO offence pour DM the players make me do IT:D )

If u want a heavy character who kicks @#! u should start thinking of a warrior or even better a BARBARIAN !!

05-10-07, 05:20 PM Well there's always those rugged barbarians, nothing says "You're gonna get a whuppin'" more than a gigantic man weilding a weilding an even larger sword running at you. But maybe a giant demonic flaming orc with a giant double axe... well that tells me I have one of two options, 1) Run far away, using a little bit of the Art and lot of Tymora's favor to help my retreat or... 2) Personally say "Well Met" to Sharress after a brief stay on the Fugue Plain ;)
