The Efreeti

The situation: Next time my players are going to encounter an Efreeti, imprisoned in a summoning circle. It has been there 432 years and whats to get out / home to the city of Brass on the Elemental Plane of Fire.

I has disguised itself as an Angel, and begs the players to ruin the circle, before a daemon comes back fore it.

I need some ideas on how to trick my players to activate a whish from it. One that could get it free, and give them an magic item if necessary.
---------------------------------------------------------------

The only idear i have until now is

Now did you just say you wanted me to.......

Well, pardon my saying so, but you areclever and greedy, i like you....

I do hope that you are not to weary to attempt my challenge.....

What if I gave you.....

The group might find the remnants of the notebook of the wizard who once bound the Efreeti here. One of the last entries might read like this: "Aaargh, this blows! Note to self: Be careful what you wish for. Hope I ever get this off. Will write more tomorrow; pain's a little too much right now. Feel tired. Need a rest." This would be a first clue, but probably not enough to tip the players off, just adds a little bit of cryptic flavor.

If any of the PCs happens to utter something like "I wish we had more light" or "If only this summoning circle weren't so strong" or whatever, let the Efreeti take it literally, if it makes sense in the situation. This is the easiest case.
Otherwise, if the PCs ask something like: "Do you know anything about this summoning circle, like how to break it?", the Efreeti might say something like: "Do you wish me to reveal all there is to know about it?" Once the PCs say: "Yes, of course, please, just go ahead. Moron!", the Efreeti would be forced, by it's own Wish, to say out loud all there is to know - not only all it knows. Even a little more straightforward would be:

Efreeti (in Angel shape): "I'd like to be free, as, see, this big bad demon is coming back any moment now. Can you help me, please?"
PC: "Sure thing, angel-creature. How do we do so?"
Efreeti (happiness in it's angelic face): "This is so nice of you! Nobody has been nice to me in a long time! ...[sudden doubts, fearful face] Wait, I've heard this one before! Don't torment me! Are you sure you wish to set me free?"
PC: "Sure I'm sure... eh - what the heck?!"

This is how you need to work. Let the Efreeti formulate a Wish for the PCs, in a way that it sounds commonsense, or even desirable. Don't tip the PCs off to the importance of what they're saying next. To them, it should sound like somebody putting a more-or-less pointless, tedious question. It helps if the Efreeti acts talkative and not too bright, asking many many incessant questions.
