| Ianten_Silverblade09-07-07, 09:51 PM | Um, here's a new race. I don't know if anyone else made a race like this. Anyways, here it is: Half-Moon Elf/Half-Forest Gnome +2 Dex, +2 Int, +2 Cha, -2 Con, -2 Wis Medium: As Medium creatures, half-moon elves/half-forest gnomes have no special bonuses or penalties due to their size. Half-Moon Elf/Half-Forest Gnome base land speed is 30 feet Low-Light Vision: A half-moon elf/half-forest gnome can see twice as far as a human in starlight, moonlight, torchlight, and similar conditions of poor illumination. She retains the ability to distinguish color and detail under these conditions. Immunity to magic sleep effects and a +2 racial saving throw bonus against enchantment spells or effects. +2 racial bonus on saving throws against illusions. This bonus stacks with the half-moon elf/half-forest gnome’s +2 bonus against enchantment spells or effects. +2 racial bonus on Craft (alchemy), Listen, Search, and Spot checks. A half-moon elf/half-forest gnome who merely passes within 5 feet of a secret or concealed door is entitled to a Search check to notice it as if she were actively looking for it. +4 racial bonus on Hide checks and a +8 bonus on Hide checks when in a wooded area. Spell-like ability: The half-moon elf/half-forest gnome is able to cast the following spells the following times per day as a sorcerer of her level: At will – pass without trace; 1/day – dancing lights, ghost sound, prestidigitation, speak with animals (burrowing mammals only). Automatic Languages: Common, Elven, and Gnome. Bonus Languages: Any (other than secret languages, such as Druidic). Favored Class: Bard. A multiclass half-moon elf/half-forest gnome’s bard class does not count when determining whether she takes an experience point penalty. Level Adjustment: +2 Lemme know if I could make it better and if so how I could do it. Please be kind in your ratings. Thanks. |
| SmartPaladin09-08-07, 03:13 AM | Nothing to add, I just wanted to ask... How wild was that party anyway?!  |
| Ianten_Silverblade09-08-07, 06:48 PM | I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. Can you be more specific? |
| SmartPaladin09-09-07, 12:47 AM | One was being a smart***. The character/race is a Half Moon Elf/Half Forest Gnome. So you kinda find yourself just starring in dumb amazement going "How in the nine hells did that happen?" |
| Ianten_Silverblade09-09-07, 12:15 PM | Well, I dunno. It COULD happen. There is already a noted half-drow/half-wood elf rogue in Forgotten Realms isn't there? Maybe a beautiful female moon elf druid fell in love with a charming male forest gnome bard or via versa? It's kind of funny you asked that as my girlfriend plays a PC of this race and she often gets asked by both elvish and gnomish NPC's what race does she belong too and she often gets looks of amazement and bewilderment from both elves and gnomes. |
| GothicDan09-09-07, 12:32 PM | The Drow/Half Wood Elf is a bad thing to bring up. Such a character only takes after one parent, statistically. There's no such thing as an actual half Drow/Wood Elf being as a separate race. Half Dwarf/Humans also use pure Dwarven stats if I remember correctly. |

However, this is before the Thunder Blessing, when dwarves were considered to be in decline. |
| Mula09-10-07, 12:46 AM | I'd remove the Wisdom penalty. Otherwise, looks kind of neat. :) It's a fun concept. If the mother was the gnome half, must've been one hell of a pregnancy... not to mention the delivery. |
