| rogueOrphan42003-03-07, 04:13 PM | okay, me and my friends i guess are sort of sloppy..we have a ton of books and we jsut use whatever we want out of any of them. like Races of Ebberon and Faerun. is so many different books bad? |

| boggler6503-03-07, 11:09 PM | personally I think mixing in things from eberron like the warforged is going a little too far, but hell the realms already have half golems so with a minimum of creative story telling on the GM's part it shouldn't be a big deal as long as you enjoy the game. |
| Dark Wizard03-04-07, 02:23 AM | As long as you're having fun it shouldn't matter too much. If you're crazy about setting purity, you can work just about anything in if you try hard enough. |
| Faraer03-05-07, 12:02 PM | Good DMs take inspiration from everywhere, but I'd use non-Realms D&D books like GAZ8 The Five Shires, SJR1 Lost Ships, Ed's Kalamar and Castlemourn work, Steven Schend's Alchemy & Herbalists, and Bryon Wischstadt's Faeries first, then fantasy books that the Realms is inspired by, and Eberron sourcebooks and the like a distant third. But of course each campaign has different needs. |
