| Duedaine08-20-07, 03:35 PM | Can one become a vampire unwillingly? In the Cleric Quintet (not sure the name of the book, the last one) the priests chose to renounce their faith and become vampires. Is this correct or just more deviation from the rules? |
| Lord Karsus08-20-07, 03:46 PM | -Of course people can become Vampires unwillingly. That is how most become Vampires. -Rufo became a Vampire due to his ingesting the Chaos Curse. Because there have never been any rules concerning the Chaos Curse, as it was unique, was have to assume that imbibing it causes the drinker to become a Vampire. |
| Slayergnome08-22-07, 04:35 AM | Maybe the Chaos curse doesn't have a set sorta reaction. Due to its name I would think it has chaotic results and we all just got lucky when he became a vampire. |
| BloodofNumenor08-22-07, 10:44 AM | Rufo turned other priests into Vampires, but could only turn the one's that renounced their faith and came willingly. It was to this which I was referring. |

Rufo turned other priests into Vampires, but could only turn the one's that renounced their faith and came willingly. It was to this which I was referring. -Obviously. If you were a priest/priestess in good standing with your deity, would you allow an unnatural creature like Vampire Rufo to blaspheme and deconsecrate your holy place of worship? Those who held strong to their ideals would obviously not, and would want to destroy him, chase him away, or some other alternative. Obviously, they died. Those who didn't have such strong willpower, or craved power. Well, they saw Rufo for what he was, and then saw what they could become as well. |
