10-29-07, 12:32 PM I want to make a vampire character but I do not want him turned by another. I don't want him controlled by anything-living, dead, and I want to make him somewhat immune to being controlled by the gods if that is possible. I was thinking of having him cursed by a god or altered by a Demon Lord or Lord of Hell. After I get that thought out I need to find a villian for him. Any thoughts?

10-29-07, 10:36 PM well as for villian, a cleric of Kelemvor or Lathander should do the trick. The gods can do what they want but as far as I know, aren't too concerned with one vampire. Try to think of how you want your vamp created. Whoever (or whatever) did could be gone. His vampire master might have died shortly after your PC's creation. Or perhaps your PC is a dhampir.

You could read the Noble Dead series for some inspiration.

I have read the book unclean and I like the idea about a wizard creating a new stronger type of vampire. I was thinking of something along those roads. Maybe a wizard, priest, or an avatar of some god.

10-30-07, 09:14 PM wizard or priest OK, but I'm not keen on something as powerful as an avatar. As to the priest, would you be a "good" character? Perhaps a priest of Selune? Or evil?

If you want to be immune to turning and the like try to word a wish spell very well.

But along the lines of the godly curse or a fiendish lab experiment no evil super power would relinquish power over another being unless it was for something of equal power, even then they'd likely take whatever you had to offer and still keep you enslaved.
