Hi there. I need to know a bit about moon elves, like where they live, where the great houses are, where are their cities and stuff like that.

I have a character who is taking her dead mother from the sword coast home... to somewhere. They're nobles, from a wealthy house. Where are some places that might be?

The only elven home I know is Evermeet. I looked it up and it says it's an island off the west coast but I can't find it on the map here on the site.

Any info you can give me would be appreciated.

I think your best bet is Evereska. It's a hidden eleven city in between the High Forest and the Anauroch desert. In most areas that you find Sun Elf families you will also find Moon Elf families.

I agree - Evereska is your best bet simply because it's easier to get to than Evermeet. It's a place rich with adventure hooks, too, so your Dm will be happy too.

Thank you very much.

Actually I'm writing a module for NWN 2.

No problem, I hope we will get a link so we can try it out, later:)

I will. I'd like to work in some lore of the races of some of the characters, so this'll help a lot.

Shouldn't be too far away.

I've done this one already though.

Thanks for the info. What about Duergar? Wikipedia mentions Gracklstugh but do they have other settlements and are they all in the Underdark?

Thanks again.

Try the 3.5 supplement "The Underdark". It mentions some Duergar cities like Drik Hargunen(sp).:)

They live on the moon, hence moon elves.

They can live anywhere where the population breakdown involves elves. They are far more likely than sun elves (xenophobic) to live among humans and other races. So, you'll be encountering them in Silverymoon, Suzail, Tethyr, Procampur, etc.

And don't forget Waterdeep.;)

Really, you can probably find a good reason to have moon elves in most human cities (and even if you are playing in a more xenophobic area, you can give a moon elf interesting reasons for being there).

Spoiler if you haven't read Last Mythal(still don't know how to use spoiler button, highlight to read):

The elves are resettling Myth Drannor after defeating Sarya Dlargadreth's Fey-Ri and the Crownblade has been reclaimed as well, so you will likely find a large population of Moon Elves from Evermeet helping with the resettlement process there.

Although that information is pretty much common knowledge these days, the desire to use spoiler tags is appreciated.

Try using <Your text here> next time. ;)

I am aware of that, I just thought that he didn't seem to know much about the elves but was interested, so I didn't want to spoil a potentially fascinating series on elves for him.

I'll try the spoiler thing next time, though I'm most likely to forget.

Hi there. I need to know a bit about moon elves, like where they live, where the great houses are, where are their cities and stuff like that.

I've always imagined moon elves, or at least a certain part of them, to lead seminomadic lives. I think Races of Faerun said that a typical moon elf sees many cities and cultures during his lifetime, so I thought many of them don't spend all their lives in one city but rather camp through different forests or wander throughout the lands. I wonder if it's like a gypsy caravan - somehow it sounds rather strange, but you never know.
