Which source can I find half-genasi? [Archive] - Wizards Community

05-18-07, 08:37 AM Been trying to find the half-genasi template, and wondering where I have seen it or if I've been making it up this entire time. I appreciate a nudge in the right direction if there is such a beast.

05-18-07, 08:41 AM Never heard of it. It'd be silly, I think. Genasi are shreds of a fraction of extraplanar lineage. Half that and I reckon you're not left with much.

(Although a google did turn up a few "half-genasi" hits)

A Genasi is someone with 1/4 or less Elemental Blood. A Half-Genasi in all likelihood would just be a Genasi.

05-18-07, 11:55 AM Was looking to add a little "elemental flair" to a few PHB races, kind of like the elemental race variants from Unearthed Arcana. But rather than be stuck with those presented there, I really was looking for a simple template that didn't add much (+0/+1 LA) to a base creature, but had some interesting abilities. I was up too late last night looking through books and such, that I must've made up half-genasi.

The Genasi is only a +1 LA race, and I think there's a +0 LA version somewhere. Perhaps in the PGtF.

Correct.

Also, there were elemetal variants of the core races in one Dragon Mag. Can't remember the issue, as usual.

05-25-07, 05:21 AM Know how there's a Half Celestial? Well, that Half-Celestial's grandkid, or however many generations down the line it takes, will be an Aasimar.

Same goes for half-genies(half-elementals?), which are probably templated somewhere in one of the vast tomes of templation that D&D has. Somewhere down the line, the progeny of a Genie and a Human will be a Genasi.
