...or armor ?

is it possible to create a glove or a piece of armor that summons items to your hand just by thinking about it ?

as a rogue that specializes in thrown weapons its pretty much a pain to run around with tons of knives on your bodysuit ...
and no person looks harmless when it carries 20 knifes on its body ^^

any inputs / ideas how to solve that problem ?

Just add the Returning property to your weapons. It's in the DMG.

If thats the only thing what you want then use the returning enchantment.

Otherwise I suggest to ask your DM if you can create a modified bracelet of friends which works with objects you own (you have to have them in your possesion when you key them to a charm).

There is also the glove of storing which shrinks one item. Of course, you want lots. One idea i toyed with was using one of the many creation spells to just create a number of daggers each day...at which point you wouldn't even have to recollect them.

You could also consider a handy haversack in another form....perhaps in the form of a dagger sheath. Thus you'd have one dagger on your hip that actually holds a bunch. When you throw one another appears ready to draw.

Your best bet is probably to just talk with the DM and see if you can work something out. Tell him what you are wanting to do and why. The item you seek doesn't sound overpowering or anything.

yeah i know about the returning ability - nice to have on good daggers you constantly want to use - but - and there is a big but here - i dont want to show my weapons to everybody - thats like shouting : HEY GUARDS, LOOK HERE I AM THE ASSASSIN
of course you cannot fool any spellcasting guard (detect magic should indicate that you wear some kind of bag of holding) but it would probably fool the usual guards :)

2nd reason would be that you can certainly impress people by being unarmed, doing nothing and in the next second throwing 4-5 daggers at people - and they notice that you still have daggers in your hands ^^

just for the ones wondering why : the whole character setup i made was inspired by maytag in the flipside webcartoon (http://www.flipsidecomics.com)
to understand me fully, and if you have the time (takes about 10-20 minutes reading ^^) - just read this chapter : Negotiator (http://www.flipsidecomics.com/comic.php?i=319)

so it's nice to have a couple of daggers somewhere nobody can spot them if you are in trouble :P

You could have a rod crafted that creates daggers x/day and use it with a casting glove (like a glove of storing, but you can access the powers of the rod without calling it to hand).

casting with the glove is a full round action ?
i really need that surprise on my side (she's a weakling) - besides having one dagger/round would not be enough :/
but very nice idea ^^

It requires a standard action and you can do it once per round. However, you could easily make the rod create 4 or 5 daggers each time it's used:) Or make a more expensive version of the glove that requires less time to use:P If your DM approves of course.

Or an item similar to Jarlaxle's wristband that throws infinite daggers.

How about a Psionic item with the power Call Weaponry restricted to daggers.

I know that it is possible to hold three and throw them one at a time because I've done it.

Daggers, on the other hand, would have to be summoned and thrown one at a time and are therefore not as efficient.

I also used to own a wrist holster that held 5 throwing 'spikes' that could be quickly thrown one right after the other, but in-game they would probably do the same damage as a throwing star.

you can throw more than 1 dagger at a time - as you can shoot more than one arrow at a time (in one full round)
where is the difference between throwing daggers at an incredible speed and shooting like 5-6 arrows in the same time ? Picking up those arrows from your quiver should be exactly as fast as picking up your daggers from that gloves i am talking about...
it should be something like the Quiver of Ehlonna (DMG, p265), just with daggers/throwing daggers (darts?) instead of arrows, sling bullets or bolts...
and - if my dm is nice - with a place for 1 or 2 healing potions

It could be a variant of the Belt of Many Pockets that instead of storage space for various items, it could have slots that store daggers in a way similar to a bag of holding, but having a free action to recover the daggers.

Thus I suggested a custom version that summons them faster:P

Throwing pikes, along with stars, fall under Shuriken I believe. I'm not sure tho', as I've never used them in a game.

"why do you fool around with daggers ? why do you even HAVE daggers when you could get yourself a rod (!) that creates daggers - and modify that rod with some insane magic skills so it summons more than any other rod has ever done before"

your attitude is exactly the reason i enjoy every single last one of your postings
you really think in big pictures

Sadly, that has gotten me almost banned;( It's not fair...I speak the truth, despite others not being capable of handling the truth:P)

aye the truth hurts
and most people don't like being reminded of their flaws despite any good intentions you may/may not have ^^
ah well i'm drifting away - anybody else with a creative idea on how to pull this whole thing off ?
i'm now thinking of a custom-made armor and weapon "set" for my little troublemaker, probably will give her some ranks in profession/craft? or what would you have in mind ? (i don't want to craft it on my own, just collecting all the ideas i have, drawing them on paper as kind of blueprints for the creator ^^ do you even think that should be done ?

You can have the rod become a belt, more comfortable, more practical, even less suspicious.

have the glove - create miscellaneous magic, Dramij's Instant Summons or teleport object bind the sapphire dust into the glove in some way (I can think of several I would allow) and the marked daggers would appear in your hand when ever you summoned them - of course if you hit someone I rule that that dagger doesn't come back to your hand when you call them. THis is also a good way to get around the problem that returning only brings them back to where you were when you threw them - if you move them go there not to where you are now - this way they always do return to where you are. It also lets you walk in unarmed and then get your weapons when you need them rather like a cursed weapon.

You can throw a MILLION daggers a round for all I care, but you can only summon ONE per round. My point was you are limited by the fact that summoning said dagger is an action, and you can't keep doing it over and over in a round. The only other work-around (besides Karsus's) is to summon 3-5 into your off hand, and take the Quick Draw feat to allow one hand to rapidly feed the other. In this way you bypass the one-at-a-time problem. Unless you come up with a skill/feat that allows you to throw one item while still holding onto the others in your hand (which is entirely possible, maybe a high juggling skill?).

nah we don't wanna get that crazy about it :)
She actually gets Quick Draw (at lev. 15) 'cause it is a prereq for whisperknife (RotW), but my DM agreed on the modified quiver of ehlonna thingie

and i have to apologize, i'm not a native speaker, so i misread your post :) After reading over it a second time, it came all to me
