Magic of faerun is the only other book of I've seen them in. This is also the lesser version of the stones.

Kiira (spelt kiira not kirra), or lore gems can be found in Magic of Faerun Page 162. They give the wearer a bonus to knowledge checks and can act as an alternative type of spellbook.

Tel'Kiira, or greater lore gems can be found in Lost Empires of Faerun Page 155. They give a bonus to INT and Will saves, act as an alternative type of spellbook, have ranks in mental skills, and can store memories. They can only be used by elves of the house of its’ owner/creator and are "locked" so they can’t be used by others.

Selu'kiira have not been given game statistics in the 3E rules, although one of the ruling blades of Cormanthyr (Arcor Kerym, the Crownblade: again, in Lost Empires of Faerun Page157-158 ) is suppposed to have one mounted in it, and the blade grants a +10 bonus to spellcraft checks.

Lastly, the Players Guide to Faerun Page 123 has the game rules for the Kiira N'Vaelar, which were created for Myth Drannor's spies, and unlike the aforementioned three, they do not act as spellbooks but rather serve to record events and to aid the spy in their tasks.

If you search the forum for kiira (spelt with two ii) you will find several threads about them or if you google the web for kirra “lore gems” you will find information about them

You don't watch Battlestar Galactica?

The OP was asking about all Kiira types, ergo I provided information on the only one I knew about. :P

-No I don't. I guess that's why I don't get it!
