First, quaal's feather tokens have been around forever but I never figured out weather it was a feather or a type of coin.

Second, does it have a command word or what is its trigger to turn into a huge 6ft diameter tree?

Third, if it is a feather or a coin with a relatively simple trigger can it be crafted in to an arrow or bolt in an attempt to make the target explode as a giant tree takes shape within they're body?

What makes you think it is a type of coin when it's called a feather token?

The token part, I've always refered tokens to coins. I didn't know if it was a coin with a feather on one side and a tree on the other or if it was just a feather with those magical properties.

I always described them as a large feather trimmed into the silhouette of what it was supposed to be...it's worked for me :)

After posting this thread in other areas I did found out that it is a feather and it can only grow to the size permited by its surroundings.

So, since it is a feather and it cant blow someone up, could it then be built into the fletching of an arrow? The command word could then be projected by magical means such as ventriliquism to activate the item. Would a reflex save be applicateable for the creature who has the arrow jutting out of their chest versus them being catapulted into the air as a 40ft tree appears before them?

Even with the space impedement of the item would extra damage occur if the item was punctured threw the creatures stomach causing a tree to grow within? If yes how much damage would be apropriate?

And considering that most living organisms arent a confined space, in other words their are many holes in which plant limbs can grow out of would that rule apply?

What a great idea! Using a Quaal's feather token as the fletching of an arrow will let me do all sorts of havok with my elven archers!

Thanks for sharing your idea with us.
