If I wanted to destroy a powerful creature, but it was far beyond my challange rating, could I use this tactic? A 12th level half-elf monk has a base land speed of 70, plus can use abundant step. If the monk were to hold 2 bags of holding, one open, and run up to a monster, (move action) could the monk begain to cast abundant step, (standard action) and just before he if finished, drop one bag into the other (with the other being on the ground or a bit below the other bag, just for a little bit of time before the bag falls inside) and use abundant step to move out of the blast range before it's triggered? Since I'm new to the game, I just wanted to see if I could this. Thank you in advance for your responses! |

Meaning the area that will be affected, your Monk has no knowledge of how this works, but regardless of that, no you cannot perform this in one move in the manner you describe. It is possible but not within one move, I'm sure you can figure out how to achieve this. Besides the result of your "free action" of dropping the bag into the other would occur before you cast abundant step. |
