I have been thinking of different ways that one can use things that can be looted by other media to be placed in a Realms campaign. So I have started this thread were I will set those ideas.

Included are Addventure hooks, Campaign ideas, Histories adapting and even Stats. I hope you enjoy and can use them.

Following is the first. Feel free to add your own or even make your own modifications on mine.

"This is my gift, this is my curse. I am Spider-mage!"
--Petur of the Park

While a teen, human magic prodigy Petur of the Park when to a study of magical energies. It was there a small spider was hit by a rogue spell that enhanced it. Then it fell on Petur and with it's last breath, bit him. While comming home, he ran into some hoods, only to discover that the spider had given him a gift. He had gained superstrength and agility. He could also cling to a wall like a spider climb spell. He could also sense danger. He also discovered that he could shoot powerful webs from his wrist.

Deciding to make money from this he entered a fighting match under a disguise, as the Spider-mage. And he won, only on his way to the payout he was passed by a theif. Being interested only in himself, he didn't stop him. But when he returned home, he discovered that the Uncle that had raised him with his wife had been killed. By a thief. When the Spider-mage discovered it was the same thief that he could have stopped if he had made the effort. Vowing to fight crime, he became a hero. A legend was born.

Adventure Hooks--The sent by a cleric of Denier know as J. Jona, Son of Jamis. He believes that Spider-mage is a crook and has printed papers that discribe him in this light. He has sent the heroes to capture Spider-mage or unmask him for the world to see him.
--With the rise of Spider-man, came the rise of strange and powerful villains. Such as the Doctor Octopus, who as a Gondman that developed mechanical tenticles. But was hit by rogue magic and they were wielded to his back and drove him into maddess.
--Lolth and her drows have heard of Spider-mage. The drow priestesses and mages desire the powers of the spider that this mage holds. While Lolth has one of two possitions: Hatred for he would would tresspass on her domain. Or an insane desire for this human, to the point of wanting him as her consort.

(I left some of this open for adapting to any campaign in the realms. Also if you prefer the webshooter Spider-mage, replace his webshooting ability with a bracer of webs that needs reloading from an alchemical formula. If this does well, I might include stats for some of these characters.)

Well, to use a spin off of history. if the shades were never stopped from melting the high ice, then the weather and economies around them would have suffered greatly. enter a group of revolutionaries who want to over throw the monarchies and put in place a non-capital economy and rule(aka communistic). some of these revolutionaries are bad (puppets of the zhents, phareaim, etc.) and some are good (a faction of Ilmatar or the Triad who see it as only way to have justice). the revolutionaries have to figure out how to work together and the monarchs and merchants will probly have a huge problem with this; therefore, war.
p.s. it's just an idea.

(Not sure of the source. I was trying to build plot ideas based on ideas from other sources. Like..)

A wizard and/or cleric of Azuth has decided to put the logical study of things in use as a solver of crime. This character, known as Shurlocke Homes, had decided to work as an assistant to the Town/City watch of the town that the PC live in. He has decided to use the PC as his hired help known as the Irregulars, who he uses as agents of crime solving.

(This is an adaption of the Sherlock Homes Novels for Faerun. Like my previous one was adapting Spider-man for the realms. I'm just curious what source you used for your idea. The only thing I can think of is the Cold War from history.)

But thanks for adding.

I'm just curious what source you used for your idea. The only thing I can think of is the Cold War from history.

The source would be Euro-Asia from about mid-1800's through late 1900's. Basicly it is the rise of communism and/or socialism throughout the world. Been dealing with a lot of history in school, so it was the first thing that sprung to mind.
