duncan_idaho 12-10-03, 03:37 AM	how-ho...high level but down on his luck... Cyrus is a half fire-genasi/half brown dragon Rogue 3/Monk 3/Fighter 4/Sorcerer 6/Incantatrix 2.... Ever see my big fat greek wedding? It's like that, but the relatives want to eat you/drag you into the family business on another plane of existence... Cy's been there, done that, fled from the other...he grew up on the mean streets of Unther before being taken in by a kindly monk...whose monastery was attacked some years after by dear old dad, who, horrified to learn he'd sired offspring, vowed to hunt down and throughly eat his son... So Cy takes up the sword--and gets good at it, and experiments more with his innate gift for sorcery....when his maternal great-great-great grandfather (a nasty-minded lord of the elemental plane of fire) comes a-calling...seems he's heard of his progeny's exploit's and wants to bring him into the family business...whatever it is... But Cy's having none of it, even after granddad's minions torch his mercenary company and leave him, a little gear (including an intelligent sword with an obstreperous personality), and a desire to be rid of extra-planar and/or draconic company...He takes up as an incantatrix simply to be rid of his family...I banish thee, uncle... but he's still broke, and being sorta unusual looking, even by Southern standards, and having few companions beyond an intelligent sword that argues with him a lot (the sword, telepathically, Cy, sometimes vocally)...but he's got the cosmopolitan feat (entertain), and comes across a most unusual inn in need of a fellow of his talents... seems Calim Wizard's opened up a bar that caters to extra-planar types...gates and everything, down the hall, on your left, next to the privvy...but this wizard, see, he needs help controlling clientele...so a muscly freak who knows his way around a protection circle and can knock heads (and keep the customers happy with his musical skills) rates as big-ticket value... I may whip him up for a light solo campaign, going light on the goodies and fairly conservative on stats...I was just curious what everyone thought of the concept...
Morka 12-10-03, 08:16 AM	Yeah, good concept. However, if I had to hire a bodyguard, I'd like he wouldn't have half the Elemental Plane of Fire after him. So, remember to keep him very secretive about his past... :smirk:
