King_Sloth 06-14-04, 08:33 PM	I need help in reference to the old 2nd edition box set "Menzoberranzan" and "City of the Spider Queen" in regards to the 'Silence of Lolth' . :confused: I need to know if anyone has tied the 2 adventures together in v3.5 format and how it went. :cool: Also I need to know if anyone knows where a updated version of the 'Tentecle Rods' that Lolth's Priestesses used to use is ? Do they still work in her silence ?? Another question is how bad off is Menzoberranzan right now ?? How much of it is still Drow and how much Tanna'ruk & Duergar ?? What are the tunnels around Menzo, Blingdinstone, and Gracklstugh like right now ?? I have "The Underdark" for v3.5 , but I really did not get as feel for how trade and travel is going through that area . How about Darklake ? Has anybody run 'Menzoberranzan" in v3.5 ?? How did you handle the merchant , Mantol-Derith, and Menzoberranzan ? Darkrealm 06-15-04, 07:08 AM	Hey King_Sloth Yah i have been trying to compile all of the things about the 2nd Edition Menzoberranzan with the CotSQ and underdark book focusing on pre Tanna'ruk & Duergar times in Menzoberranzan, with only a moderate amount of success. There is a good site for some Drow information, too bad it is mostly in german. But there are some really good PrC that you can incorporate plus the Alu-fiend template. Actully would like to try and get ahold of this guy to see if he has some of his articles in English VS German. http://www.dnd-gate.de/gate3/page/index.php?id=420 I ran the "Wild magic" adventure as a prequel to the CotSQ, and just turned the wild magic to an artifact that House Millithor was desperate in getting. My group broke up before they had reached the appropriate level to do the CotSQ so I was never able to do that one. I think once you enter that period of Drow history there is no real going back. I really like playing in Menzoberranzan and the surrounding area as it was before all the destruction so I have been avoiding getting my new PC there jsut yet. If I find anything more usefull i will post some more links .. if you find anything I would appreciate if you posted them. Oh btw .. i still run House Oblodra as the 3rd House, full 3.5 Psionic aswell :) does anyone know what the heck happened to this house. All I could find out was that they were destroyed by the vengence of Lolth .. or something like that. Good luck
Dirk_Nightbreese 06-16-04, 02:33 PM	Yeah, the house was destroyed right before the Drow marched on Mithral Hall...which was *a while* ago in game time. Basically, Matron Banre (before she got dead) called down the wraith of Lolth on the house for their "crimes" against the first house during ToT. A huge tentical thing sprang up from a crevace and obliterated the house and all those with in. I believe a few of the members escaped though....but the house is no more. oh those wacky Drow ~Dirk
