| Gallameed08-27-06, 04:53 AM | The fight is on! Pick your Fantastical Fighting Foursome! :D [Background fluff info]Faerun (the near future) has turned into a postapoklipstick setting after a terrible war which left the weave altered and forever fluxed and torils landscape charred, now stalked by half things and aberrant beasts from beyond! So now epic/high magic don’t work anymore; lots of famous high magi died in this terrible conflict as the far realm leaked through in an effort to absorb Toril! At great cost Toril was saved but now it is no longer the same world it once was! The peoples of faerun flocked to Nu-Waterdeep (a towering city built from god intervention and epic magic as a mega-fortress to protect the races of Toril and serve as a final ground to hold a last stand *gasp*) Nu-Waterdeep was built on the ruins of Calimport from a ‘’glassteel and hard air wild magic Trythal’’ in a tenday long ritual working that many high elven mages, red wizards, chosen, Larloch and Halastar gave their lifes/unlives up for. Oh, and the city of shade fell into the sea of swords, killing everyone on it. As the ritual reached its climax one of the gathered magi revealed herself to be a crazy follower of Cyric, perverting the ritual as it finished and making Nu-Waterdeep a Siren-like city that draws people to it, only to leave them trapped with its Trythal and leaving 90% of food/water supplies spoilt. Screwed up Trythal also caused the recently dead of Nu-Waterdeep to reanimate into ghouls, ghasts and minor undead! Anyhow, those that survived have now had to band together into gangs in order to have any chance in this magical twisted D&D FR version of Mad Max beyond Thunderdome, X-men: Age of Apocalypse style setting with a hint of Romero’s Dead. So pick your team of four realms NPCs (not uber epic wizards or god-like spellcasters mind you) and put them up against each other Necromunda/Mordheim Styleee! ;) [/background fluff info] Also feel free to spin a new slant on them, seeing how they went through hell in the Great War and that. I CHOOOSE: Drizzt: After loosing an eye in a shameful battle to Cattie Brie (the lead Shadow dancer of Dark Mythral Hall) and escaping from the psionic slave pits of the Jamdathaal Rebirth Symposium with the aid of a reformed Errtu and a plane traveling blue dragon called Skie; Drizzt made it to Nu-Waterdeep only to make it inside the Trythal hungry and minus his beloved panther figurine, now thanks to been found by a white squirrel, he fights for his life in the gang wars of Nu-Waterdeep alongside: Taegan Nightwind: Somehow Taegan has shrugged off the deaths of his many friends and loved ones and fully embraced the way of the bladesinger, only now the avariel is the proud owner of a seven foot long glass steel great sword named Halcyon. the sword contains the spirit of the now disembodied Jivex! Together forever with back biting commentary the two hooked up with Drizzt and: Artemis Entreri: Making up with Do’Urden was probably the hardest thing Artemis ever had to do, if it wasn’t for Drizzt saving him from the web a certain large hat wearing drow spun for him… The strangest thing of all is how much Artemis find himself almost pining for Drizzt when he’s away in the upper spires scouting, Artemis gets knots in his stomach and feels a fluttering sensation and is often too saddening to bear, after all how could he live without his sparring partner? After Artemis became a vampire Drizzt was the only one who would allow and trust him to suck vitae from him… Pikel Bouldershoulder: More plant now than dwarf, never talks, just shuffles around and sprouts flowers or thorns depending on his mood, maybe the apparent death of his brother Ivan shocked him to the soul and that’s why he decided to become the creature he is now? Or is it something more insidious than that… Still if it wasn’t for Pikel the gang would be starved by now, dwarf berries are yum (and taste of strong ale). The squirrel that lives inside him can be a right little annoyance though. Pick your four. |

| Lord Karsus08-27-06, 08:04 PM | -What in the Nine Hells is going on!? -Oh, and for future reference, do not ever compare The Age of Apocalypse to...this...this...*cough*great*cough* idea...*cough* ;) -Anyway, as for who I'd take... Ao: Ao has finally manifested himself again, taking the form of a one-legged drooling Gnome. Ao has tired of his creation, and now seeks to wipe it all out. The avatar of Ao seems to be systematically traveling Toril, disintegrating everything that he touches into utter nothingness. |

| BrennonGoldeye08-28-06, 09:30 AM | And I'm his Tauric Stygian Dragon/Dwelf Master Vampire steed/manservant. Just call me Kato....:dragon: |
| Kamekazou08-30-06, 11:08 AM | :D A... Gnome? Racist! Gnomes are the bomb. Cadderly: The Chosen of Deneir fought bravely to defend his Spirit Soaring, but it finally fell and Cadderly, Danica and the kids had to retreat underground with the remaining inhabitants of the temple. They now run a secret operation to help people escape from Nu-Waterdeep, The Silent Glyphs. Elminster: Elminster went insane with the struggle of creating Nu-Waterdeep, and now lives in a run-down building at the far corner of the place. Anyone who enters his house without saying "The Magic Word" is immediately disintegrated by the Mage. Sammaster: Sammaster escaped from the City of the Dead, abandoning his lifestyle of servitude and pain. He was ressurected by a follower, and took the shape of a blind female dwarf. Now he tries to restart the Cult of the Dragon, hoping to secure his rule of Toril once again. |
