| SATA09-09-05, 04:07 AM | Well dont know if this belong here but anyway lol. This is simple. I want ,if theres no much trouble for all who read this, opinions or options about how i change the AL of an evil creature that born evil, can be with the use or magic or another method but logical ones, lol, not just im the DM and i just need it that way for the campaign. Im really looking for a good explanation for what im about to do lol. Thank u all before hand... |
| Dielzen09-09-05, 12:25 PM | I'm assuming AL = alignment? Check the Book of Exalted Deeds...there's a template in the monster section for reformed/rehabilitated creatures...I believe it's called "Redeemed" but I'm not sure. |
| Phaerven09-09-05, 12:39 PM | I guess you are not content with putting a helm of opposite alignment on its head, no? |
| SATA09-09-05, 03:14 PM | Thank u for the answer and yes AL = alignment lol. I will check the book Dielzen so thank u and Phaerven is a good option, i prefer other but if i dont find i will have to use it, thank u too. |
| Dielzen09-09-05, 06:16 PM | My fault, Redeemed refers to magical items...the template in question is called "Sanctified Creature" and it adds +1 to CR or +2 to LA |
| Zandilar09-09-05, 07:42 PM | Heya, The Sanctified Creature template is applied to a creature by the use of the exalted spell (*ahem*) Sanctify the Wicked (Book of Exalted Deeds, pg 106). It is a 9th level spell that takes one full year to have it's effect, and the cost is a 10,000gp Diamond and the sacrifice by the caster of one full level. Did I mention it's all or nothing? If the diamond (which is the receptical for the soul) is destroyed before the year is out, the creature remains evil and, futher it actively seeks out the caster for revenge. Also, the Book of Exalted Deeds (pg 28) shows how diplomacy can be used, but this method doesn't apply the Sanctified Creature template. In either case, it takes a while. Changing alignment is not a sudden thing (unless you use the Helm of Opposite alignment, but that's a curse that can be removed and it's an involuntary alignment change). |
| Delnyn09-10-05, 04:46 PM | Don't forget that little goodie. A quick way for the DM to challenge "runaway characters." Get the PC's framed for stuff their "evil twins" did. :evillaugh |
| Delnyn09-10-05, 05:21 PM | I am aware that mirror of opposition does not change alignment. It's still much fun. |
| Andyr09-12-05, 07:14 PM | I guess you are not content with putting a helm of opposite alignment on its head, no? Heheh, I was going to suggest that one. :) |
| william8809-17-05, 03:09 AM | Perhaps the Mindrape spell from BoVD |
| SATA09-22-05, 01:04 AM | Thank you all for your help, i will take this and see what i can use to fit better my idea and the campaign in general. |
