A question regarding history [Archive] - Wizards Community

08-08-03, 11:21 AM Does anyone know a place where Faeruns history is written down (not a timeline). Eventually any information on the time before and under the arrival of species from other planes (aka. Elves, Dwarves, Illithids and such).

08-08-03, 11:54 AM Some novels are set up kind of liek history books. For example Evermeet: Island of Elves details the history of elves on Faerun and a little bit of their time before Faerun. Cormyr: A Novel is pretty much the history of the Kingdom of Cormyr. I think Elaine Cunningham and Ed Greenwood are also working on a novel that details the history of Waterdeep.

The Races of Faerun Sourcebook also has a brief history of each race in the book,including elves and dwarves. Illithids may be described in the new Underdark Sourcebook coming out this fall.

08-08-03, 07:33 PM You could also go to your local temple of Oghma.....or Deneir.And kill all the worshippers you can find and runaway with the scrolls....

08-08-03, 09:19 PM You will find summaries of the history of elves, half elves, halflings, gnomes and drow on Dlabraddath (http://myth-drannor.net/DlabraddathNet/z-Dlabraddath/Main.htm). Sadly I haven't had time to update the gnomes and hallfings in line with Races of Faerun yet.
