Lord Karsus 09-10-04, 11:36 PM	After finishing up The Rage (Year of the Rogue Dragons, Book I), and Forsaken House (The Last Mythal, Book I), I have begun to notice a pattern. More variety in main character races... No more are there just the iconic Sun/Moon Elves, Dwarves, Drow and Human. Now, we have Arctic Dwarves, Avariel, Half-Golem, Genasi, even Song Dragon. This goes a long way from the days when the main characters were plain old humans...I like this new trend. It definitley adds more character to the characters...
EmeraldFox 09-11-04, 12:42 AM	You know, we're not allowed to have novel discussions. However, Araevin is a sun elf, and Dorn is a human. Those are the main characters and they're still kind of iconic, as you say. The supporting characters have always been of different races. Nothing's really changed.

It is not just critiques of novels that are now banned, any topics focused on the FR novels are no longer allowed. Discussion on this decision is also not allowed. Don’t try and guess what the rules are by reading other posts and threads, and don’t ask someone else what the rules are ... read them.
