06-16-06, 07:11 AM As some of you know... I've got a number of projects "in the works" for Candlekeep at the moment.

One of them, which I can reveal at this point, is a greatly expanded and updated FAQ for the FR setting as a whole -- Candlekeep's Guide to Forgotten Realms FAQ. It's set to completely replace the Official Forgotten Realms FAQ of the REALMS-L Mailing List which was maintained by Tom Cullen and is still hosted at Candlekeep. Alaundo and I have been in contact with the admin over on the Mailing List and they've agreed to allow the FAQ to be updated -- and expanded upon.

I've already composed a vast number of new entries myself... as well as adding references from more recent material -- novels, sourcebooks, official FR web material, Ed (from Candlekeep), and the vast majority of other game designer and author replies also included over at Candlekeep -- that has been published. The newer entries and additions take into account the source material that simply wasn't written when some of the older FAQ were asked.

One of my primary concerns in putting this FAQ together is to make it as useful and *complete* for FR fans as is possible. As such, I want to hear from you, as fans, what you consider to be FAQs... what you'd liked to, or think, should be included and what, if any, areas of the Realmslore require special attention in the FAQ. From this input, I'll be able to better determine what format the FAQ will take and what is covered in it -- in other words... to make it as useful as possible in terms of a Realmslore resource.

So, if you're interesting in helping out... let me know here. Consider what I've said above and post what you think should be covered. When the Guide is finished, and released at Candlekeep, those posters who suggestions I've used will receive special mention in the work itself.

I'll try an give my 2 coppers, but I don't want to bother you will already existing FAQs....

06-19-06, 07:51 AM Perhaps having the questions set up on a region basis. So that if i was searching for something specific pertaining to Thay, i wouldn't have to go through alot of Novel, or Waterdeep questions first.

Are you including them in this FAQ?

06-27-06, 12:24 PM Since I don't have too much time (I'm at my one hour rest in work and don't have much time to read all links), I'll just throw a couple:

- Where are located both the Artblade and Crownblade of Cormanthor? (i didn't read Last Mythal yet, so I don't know if they were found), and we know the Warblade is in the temple of Maerymidra

I also think that good maps of Evermeet's cities will be usefull (if they aren't yet included), no matter how much search I made, i could never find maps of any city in Evermeet. And a good historical account of everything about elves. (This last I'm sure it has already been taken in consideration, but if hasn't, i hope it gets done)
