I know this is a little off subject, but did anyone else notice that the events from the Threat From the Sea trilogy were missing entirely from the FRCS? And for your question involving 1372-1373DR Bruenor Battlehammer and company are coming back from Icewind Dale to Mithral Hall, and stumble upon Oboulds orcs, who are gathering to invade/are invading at the present time.

I thought that the new Drizzt books are taking place before 1372?...... And the Threat from the Sea is listed in the Time Line under 1370.

oh, didn't see that tiny sentence under 1370, i was under the impression it happened before then...anyway, as usual im probably wrong, but i really thought the hunters blade trilogy was in the current faerun year.

You might be right on the date for the new Drizzt books, but as I said I thought it happened before 1372.....

well Im starting to see a pattern emerge here Kuje, so let me conclude our dialogue with a very heartfelt and emphatic....ehhh, who cares. (the usual end to any argument in my campaigns that goes on for more than five minutes)

I wasn't argueing with you. I was trying to see if some one else would post with a correct Date. To me the books are before 1372 because they happen before the material that is in the Silver Marches sourcebook, and since the Silver Marches is set in 1372 I thought the new trilogy was before that sourcebook.

So ANY one wish to wade in with a answer. That was what I was looking for. I was not argueing, though.

Salvatore's books have always taken place a fer years behind the timeline. This is really important because the Drow Magic rules are still in effect during the currect Drizzt Novels.

oh yeah, i was just kidding, sorry I wasnt intending to argue either. No youve been very helpful in most of my posts actually. Although i agree with you on the correct answer holder wading into the thread though.

I'd also welcome such a time line, but I'm afraid there simply isn't one.

I've not read the Sembia novels, but supposedly they take place in the current year? Or atleast the more recent ones do.

The Silver Marches timeline slightly advances the FRCS timeline, atleast for that region, with the following several lines:

Marpenoth: As autumn falls over the Marches, a spectacular duel between two gigantic but unidentified dragons enthralls many as it rages through the skies across the North.

Perhaps this has something to do with the upcoming Year of Rogue Dragons?

1373 is now the official year of the realms. Since the last Sembia novel brings the time line to that year. The last Sembia novel is Lord of Stormweather.

You can see some of the books-oriented timeline stuff here:

http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=books/fr/presenting

It includes the Sembia stuff now.
